I know its disgusting the fact that some soap star is retweeting, I'm not sure i will be able to sleep tonight knowing this historic important news, why dont you write into the BBC, they are having an easy time of it lately and havent got much else to deal with, im sure this will be top of there priority.

It's not just the younger cast members. Have you seen Chucky Venn's twitter? The majority of his tweets are re-tweets or he's asking people to vote for him in whatever the latest awards ceremony is.

My word. it's almost as though Twitter is used by celebrities to promote stuff. What's next? Celebrities being paid to endorse brands through Twitter? I hope someone with integrity, like Kim Kardashian, puts her foot down.

Me too, I don't think it's entirely a way of just sharing praise for themselves; it's their way of acknowledging that they've read the message because they can't reply to every single mention they get. As you said, fans always seem delighted whenever they get a RT from one of their favourite stars.
