Never liked him before tonight but he was a genuine hero in my eyes

Seems it was a way to prove Frankie wrong. I remember she said something like "He'll never be a man".

Quite honestly I used to really hate him but now I'm a bit taken with him. I'm glad he survived.

I'm so glad he survived, he was great. I've always liked Jono, definitely one of the best of the teens, hopefully he doesn't leave to go in the army and they make good use of him!

I like Jono. I didn't like him before very much but have warmed to him, since Amsterdam, I suppose.

Definitely a hero!

It would be fitting of him to go to the Army now and take Ruby with him.

he was with ruby. he didn't have to save sinaed.

I've always liked Jono, his and Ruby's relationship has been cute IMO and I hope he's not leaving.

As I've just said in another thread, I believe they had Jono be the hero of the teens in order to show us that he has what it takes to be a soldier, which certainly has not appeared to be the case up till now.

I've been warming to him ever since he started standing up to Bart after the Later episodes. This is the second time he's saved a life now -- Bart drowning in the bath in Later, who appears to have forgotten that and immediately reverted to treating Jonno like crap once they got home.

I like that while he was with Ruby, and he checked to make sure she wasn't too hurt first, it was Sinead he saved first as she was in the most trouble, and that he comforted and reassured her when she was a wreck by the side of the road before rushing back to help the others. Little hero IMO.

I agree with this...

Spoiler
However I can see him dying tomorrow as tragedy is set to strike a couple - the fact he has proved himself will give the death more impact

Just a thought - but I can see it happening tbh, which would be a big shame

That statement really annoyed me. Fair enough he's young but to say out blank "you'll never be a man" is ridiculous...unless it was a teasing statement to a sudden death on Friday? then he literally would never be a man!

Unlikely but anyway yes I think he did a really good job. I like his sweet side : )

Despite his heroics, I wouldn't much care. I'm far more worried about the lovely Jack, who was equally heroic but is just convalescing after his second (or is it third?) heart attack.

I have always liked Jonno, he's really sweet...even though he was mean to Ruby but she was always a bitch anyway. I like them both when they are being nice and kind and with each other!
