We all have one or two characters we are big fans of and i admit do try to defend them any way we can. Tbh its only i think cos we want them to be the best they can be, i dont think we want them ruined or hated. I think this is where ee is failing, they sacrifice amazing characters for their own legends whereas they should be able to write good for every single character and make them good characters in their own right and still interact with the same characters no matter who is there.

Obviously mine is shirley i think i relate to her most even though i am nothing like her lol but i get why shes so insecure & scared about life etc. i dont want her to be ruined anymore than she might be i just want the writers to write the best they possibly can for her, the best they have wrote for her was in reveal week, she owned that week IMO she was amazing on xmas day last year too

I honestly dont think they have reached lindas full potential. She was iconic in bad girls and amazing in beautiful thing.

I also love max and i dont want to see him going back to his cheating ways or be kats lover i like the development they have given him jake just makes him so watchable and interesting nearly all the time& sometimes i dont even need to defend him cos of the acting & the writing is almost always 99% good for jake so its hard to hate max even though we should lol

The difference between max and shirley is definitly the writing. If the two were put together in a storyline i reckon it wouldnt be very good cos of the writing or even doubly amazing if the writing was good!

So who are your absolute favourites right now?

max, bianca, carol, cora, masood, zainab........... i find them all very watchable...

i defend bianca on here sometimes, even when i know shes in the wrong. i think we just get attached to characters sometimes, especially if we have watched them for many years

I know there are people who watch for just one or two characters but I really do like most of them ...there's only a handful that I really don't like and a few that bore me.
My favourites tend to be the more colourful characters...Janine, Kat, Shirley, Bianca, Zainab, Michael, Lola, Whitney, and Max. There's not much point in defending these characters as they often behave badly, although there's good in all of them IMO.
I also enjoy Jean, Alfie, Billy, Jay, Arthur, Dot, Roxy, Cora, Masood, Tamwar and AJ. These are considered to be nicer people, although I'm not sure if Cora really fits in this group with her sharp tongue and drinking.

I like the whole show too but there are a couple of characters who i absolutely love and would hate for them to be ruined or hated etc

I used to love EE, but I've gone off it over the last two years so tonight is my last episode until I hear it's picked back up and returned to the point where it was actually unmissable. That being said, it's probably no surprise to hear that my favorite characters are Syed and Christian, who's last episode is tonight.

Dot, Mo, Charlie, Pat, Peggy, Bianca, Nana Moon (sweet), Mel, Lou, Kathy.....guess all of the old timers!

I've grown to really like Lola in recent weeks, I couldn't stand her at first but it shows what an incredible young actress she is to have made a totally horrible character lkeable.
I love Masood, and Tamwar. Sometimes I like Zainab, mostly she infuriates me. Love AJ
I am going to miss Christian and Syed a lot.
I like Fatboy, so sweet. And Poppy.
I like Jay a lot as well.
Lauren is very pretty and quite easy to watch, she was at her best during Tanya's 'cancer' storyline, but given the right material she can light up the screen.
