It is when confronted with a horrendous display of presenting like Claudia put in the other night that Brucie doesn't look that bad after all.

Claudia was disappointing, seemingly overawed by the occasion - surprising, really, as she's done bigger stuff than SCD.

Cat Deeley should replace Tess and they should retain Bruce or go for Anton. I would say Patrick Kielty but given his performance on "Fame Academy,"he'd possibly get into fights with Craig "Drivel" Horwood. Craig is great; the only judge who speaks the truth (most of the time).

I agree Sir Bruce should definitely be retained.

Don't you just love forums: I disagree with everything you say Claudia was great on Saturday; Patrick Kielty should never be allowed through the door; Cat Deeley wouldn't do it and Anton is possibly the worst presenter I have ever seen. Comparing one the BBC's flagship programmes, go on, you're having a laugh

Not many on here would agree with you ! Claudia did a great job deputising for Tess, and should be there permanently. The show ran much more smoothly with Tess presenting, and Cat Deely and hubby Patrick don't belong on Strictly

Claudia was sort of OK at first in the Tess Pit, but here "quirky phone number" act soon started to annoy.

I thought you meant detained, for crimes against Saturday night entertainment.

Yeah, what they said. Although I do love Patrick Kielty and Cat Deeley, but I don't want them anywhere near Strictly. I think it's compering though Hun, but that might be an iPad autocorrect.

You love Patrick Kielty? Really? Is this the same 'comedian' who thought it was appropriate to do a series of 'jokes' about Madeleine McCann's disappearance?

Claudia's off piste quick quips are superb!! I think she does a great job. I'd happily lose Tess in favour of Claudia.

My top three on the presenting front are Zoe, Claudia and Ian Waite (love love love it when he's on).

I think you misspelt "restrain" and the only way the BBC should "go for Anton" is with a chainsaw.

The voice of sanity. I agree with everything you say.

Every year I hope that Anton will leave and we don't have to put up with his smirking face spoiling an otherwise great series.

I think in line with lots of people on this forum I would really like to see Anton leave the show.

I thought it interesting last week that Claudia did have a card in her hand in the Tesspit, but rarely referred to it. Tess, on the other hand, grips the card like it's her lifeline and wobbles if anyone goes " off message "

Whatever one thinks of Claudia's style she has more chops when it comes to live presenting.

Is that why the show still couldn't keep to time, in that a few judges comments had to be missed and not much interview time for a couple in the Tess Pit. Also Tess was useless at controlling the judges.

I also agree with an above poster who said Claudia's phone joke got old very quickly and worse it wasn't funny in the first place. Having said all that I did prefer Claudia up there then Tess.

It's not about the presenters. I find all presenters pretty irritating when it becomes all about them. Bruce is the worst thing about that show and Claudia knows zip all about dance and looks clumsy, even standing still. Her drippy make-up and hair in the eyes look is so dated. You'd think she would have had plenty of time to learn dance after chasing around after Len for years so obsessively. With a good presenter you should almost not notice they are there.

"Claude" is fab-u-lous.
She should be given a top show on BBC as she is brill-i-ant.
A wonderful presenter who is sadly under-rated by too many of the uneducated viewers who don't work for BBC.

It didn't overun half as badly or half as many judges comments missed out as it usually does so we can have the delight of Brucie's jokes, attempts to chip in with the judges comments and general showing off. I'm not a huge of Tess by any means but Bruce thinks the show is about him when it's really not.

I too prefer Claudia she seems to real rapport and warmth with the contestants and if don't want unfunny jokes why the chuff do you want Brucie back.

I didn't say all of Claudia's joke were unfunny. I really liked the one at the end about people on the leaderboard. If he has to stay then I would have Brucie with Claudia and no scripted jokes because both are good at the ab lib remarks.
