I too prefer Claudia she seems to real rapport and warmth with the contestants and if don't want unfunny jokes why the chuff do you want Brucie back.”

There was only one judges comment missed out last week, and that was Craig after Fern and Artem had danced IIRC. BF does my head in with his constant interrupting of the judges.

BIB - totally agree with this. I think it's obvious all the professionals and celebrities absolutely love her; she definitely has more rapport with them than Tess.

The idea that Claudia was out of her depth, in anyway overawed by the occasion or illustrated how much SCD relies on Brucie never occurred to me for one moment. If anything, for me, the duo of Claudia and Tess served to illuminate Bruce's many shortcomings.

Couldn't disagree with the OP more!

I love Claudia, and thought that she and the show were excellent.

I'm gutted that Brucie is back this weekend.

I am sure that it will be a great comfort to him that he has one loyal fan.

Bruce has managed not to die, not to swear live and not whip it out in his time on TV. That's not enough to be presenting SCD.

While Tess could have perhaps intervened in the argument (or smacked Bruno in the mouth), it definitely worked with her and Claudia doing it. Claudia is great and brings a warmth to the show that the others don't.

Sir Bruce cannot last for ever. When the time comes I would like Anton to have a go.

yep i too disagree with the OP. claudia's awesome. i feel relaxed watching her because she does it so effortlessly. she's always able to say something witty and go off road and yet still able to get things moving along nicely. she's quite self deprecating but actually she's a pretty smart cookie.

Have you seen any of Anton's past presenting work? He was dreadful on 'Hole in the Wall' and that wasn't even a live show, no wonder it was canned. I really wouldn't want to see him as a presenter on strictly. He's better of sticking to what he does best - some nice ballroom routines with the lovely Erin in the pro routines and being a buffoon with the no hoper celebs that he's given as he doesn't deserve a contender because of his dire Latin

I agree Claudia's a great presenter - full of warmth and enthusiasm. She's really witty and knowledgeable on the radio 2 arts show too.

Claudia - yeeeeeeeeeessssssssssssss.

I have stopped watching ITT because she no longer presents it. It was so much better when she did it. She has a lovely sense of humour.

I agree. She was far, far better on ITT than Zoe's been this year, although Zoe was OK last year. Still prefer Claudia.

Loved it when Claudia told Nicky to sit down after he held up the prop mike in an oh so not so funny gester, you could tell she was not best pleased

You were evidently watching a different show to me. Claudia's humour must be too clever for you, perhaps.

Funny how different people see the same things differently.... I guess that is called difference of opinion.... I love Brucie... because without him .... it wouldnt be the same...( well obviously !!!) ... but to me he seems the essence of strictly... I loved Claudia on ITT .... and funnily I adore Zoe as well .... Wouldnt actually mind both of the girls doing ITT at the same time... maybe on different days or alternate weeks....

Claudia appears to be like marmite. I love both.

The only benefit of having Claudia talking to the contestants was that I didn't have to see too much of her. Her whole act is just that - contrived and artificial humour which soon grates. She contrives to be the centre of attention whoever she's talking to and her whole "look at me I'm just a little silly" drives me nuts. If she ever takes on a major role on Strictly the show will suffer for it.

If Bruce has to be replaced, I hope they'll go for someone with the all-round ability to keep all the threads of this complicated show together, who can think on their feet to cope with the unexpected and who can turn a potentially nasty situation (Bruno, I'm looking at you for last Saturday's outburst ...) into something light-hearted.

Turquoiseblue, I think Claudia and Anton are like marmite. I love them both, but I seldom see my Anton love shared on the DS forums. I would love Claudia to present in Bruce's place, although I'd prefer Anton to keep dancing instead of presenting because that's what he does best.

Terry, I'm sorry but there's no way Bruce is Strictly Come Dancing for me - it's the dancing, the dresses and debating the judges' scores that I love it for!

I loved Claudia talking to the contestants in the pit, she is much more natural than Tess (though that really goes without saying ), and the contestants obviously like her. I could take or leave Tess in the main role though.

As for Anton, if the BBC decided to put someone like him in place of Bruce, as much as I love the show, I would have to call an end to my days of watching Strictly. Bruce is bad enough, but that would be going from bad to worse.

This was the first week I did'nt have to hit the ff button. I thought Claudia had a great connection with the contestants. I loved how she kept saying not to try to phone yet. She's very funny.
Replacing the bumbling Bruce with Anton would be a disaster in my opinion. He, like Bruce makes everything about him and not about the dancers.

No Terry he just thinks he is and therein lies the problem- SCD is the contestants and the pros. I can't understand why anyone says they'd switch off if x took over as the presenter or y left - I've FF'ed, ignored and zoned out Brucie for years and studiously ignored Alesha's inane comments and over-marking, Len being grumpy and inconsistant and over-marking, Arlene's gaffes - and I still enjoy the program immensely. SCD is bigger than any one person for me let alone someone I've never liked.

Not at all - Strictly is Strictly for the whole package and succeeds despite the pathetic old codger, not because of him.
Last week - I watched the whole show instead of fast forwarding everything but the dance and judges comments. First time that's happened in years!
