Honestly if I was her I wouldn't know what to do. The minibus was on fire. I'm glad maddie is not in Hollyoaks anymore though.

She could have called to her friends, eg Jono, that Neil was still alive in the minibus. She really was a cold-hearted selfish little bitch to the end, though.

She could have asked for help from the others. She could have mentioned his name instead of spouting her hate about Esther.

I think it's a hard one. Imagine you're Maddie. The car is burning and clearly about to go up, everyone's running away. You hear your mate Neil calling for you. Do you try and get him out yourself? Maybe, but Neil isn't going to be easy to lift. Do you call the others over? Maybe, but chances are they'd have been unable to get him out in time.

And of course we don't know what state Neil was in. He may have been dying anyway.

The main issue is the coldness of it all, the fact she just nonchalantly said "sorry." Pretty sure Neil hasn't done anything to get on her bad side?

I get that it was a tough call. But when it is added to the coldhearted "Eshter did this, we must burn the witch" speech she gave, instead of mentioning or even feeling bad about Neil, whom she just 15 seconds ago left to die...

How exactly did she figure that it was all Esther's fault? She was the one who decided to steal the minibus and drive to Gretna Green.

Add in the fact she had her "He's dead, get over it" speech a few minutes before hand!

She was a complete cold-hearted bitch. But if she hadn't been a complete cold-hearted bitch, it still could have ended similarly - there was no way she'd have been able to help him, and that thing was about to explode. But it was still an amazing way of showing how cold she was, and a really sad way for Neil to go.

Yeh it was the way it was done, not the fact she left him. There was no way she'd have been able to lift Neil out, they both would have died. But the speech beforehand "Get over it" and then her absolute lack of remorse when she got out, she was more interested in blaming Esther than anything else.

Well they all just stood there after getting out of the van, none of them seemed bothered that there was someone still trapped inside.

Didn't they all (bar Maddie) think Neil was already dead?

*Feel strange getting involved in a HO discussion but I watched the episode after the reviews on here*

That scene broke my heart, poor Neil he was so harmless and sweet! His face when he realised he was probably going to be blown up and maddie didn't even consider saving him...

I agree - I thought he was lovely, did not deserve to die like that. Maddie was vile to the end.

Also did they not check his pulse? haha.

She also was repeatedly saying "can some one please help me" in her winy voice

She should be alive and suffering in my opinion!

I'd have done the same thing but I would have told the others to go back and help.

Hated the way she kept saying that, she could see that the others were trying to get out but no,everything had to be about her.
And I agree with the last part,it seems like she got the easy way out by dying, she doesn't suffer the consequences for bullying Esther or leaving Neil to die

I'd say death is about as serious a consequence as you can get. In any case, I'm glad to have seen the back of her. I'm just disappointed that Hollyoaks had the perfect opportunity to rid us of the whole sorry bunch of useless/obnoxious teens in one fell swoop and they didn't take it. What a waste!

Well no because she needs to realise what shes done, feel how Esther feels and we as an audience should understand why shes a bitch and go into more background about her personality!!

I don't want to. I've had enough of her. And the rest of them too, for that matter.

True. Well, Sinead & Ruby dying alongside their mega-bitch leader would have been fantastic!

Call me heartless if you want but I would of done the same as her, I mean what if she told them Neil was still alive and Jono went to save him and got blown up aswell because it exploded like 10 seconds later which is not enough to save him meaning that another would have died

She's dead anyway. And hopefully the door smashed her head in so much she can't have an open-casket funeral
