Do you think Barlow regrets taking part in this year's xfactor? also do you think he will be back next year if there is a 10th series? the look that I see on his face is one of I've lost credibility by being a judge

I don't think this year has gone to plan. I think Gary thought he could rejuvenate the overs category and prove just how awesome he is as a judge and mentor, but it's turned out to be a complete disaster for him. So yeah, I'm sure he has some regrets.

I regret him ever being a judge that's for sure.

I have always preferred Robbie over Gary, but liked Gary none the less.

Since he started being a judge on X Factor I've really really come to dislike him. I've seen a side of Gary that I don't particularly care for and I hope he doesn't come back next year (if the show continues for another year).

Dislike how he appears to relish the opportunity to kick people when their down (like, being in the bottom two). If ever there was a time to be magnanimous, judging people who find themselves in the sing off would be it.

Add in his snide remarks, hypocrisy, and dull personality and you've got quite the unattractive package. And it's a shame too as he does give decent critiques from time to time.

I agree. That's the side that has come out and the side I really dislike.

Add two faced to that and you've pretty much got it covered

I doubt he regrets it at all. Career wise, as a solo performer, he's never been so in demand as he is now, he's in and on just about everything, from the Jubilee concert to the Olympic concert, CIN to Pride of Britain and the new Jeff Lynne album . It's bloody hard to escape him, and no matter he's been a let down on XFactor, it's certainly boosted his profile no end.

I think you're getting your Jeffs mixed up Marguerite. Thankfully Barlow has NOTHING to do with Jeff Lynne's latest album - he is however on the totally needless re-cover of Jeff Wayne's (pretty boring the first time around) War of the Worlds album.

I agree though - I doubt he regrets being on X-F it has been great publicity for him.

Yes, he's had a lot of publicity, that can't be argued. But I don't think some of it has been all good.

Even the rest of Take That despair at him on X Factor (allegedly)

He's playing the role of the bad guy. I don't think he remembers what he's said from one minute to the next because he thinks he's invincible and yet is usually wrong. He's not very good at constructive criticism that's for sure.

I doubt if he regrets it, X Factor and Twitter has helped him have a sell out solo tour. Gary is a really nice person if you meet him, even Rylan says he's different off screen and he has a lot of respect for him

That says more about the kind of good person Rylan is.

LOL, I don't know how Rylan keeps his cool so well but he proves he's the bigger person. Gary...Melanie's gone, Kye's gone, Carolynne's gone - get over ittt!

He must have some regrets as the overs category has been a washout this year.

Although he is a respected songwriter and performer, it hasn't really translated to the mentor/judge role and he doesn't come accross favourably.

He tries to be the bad guy but doesn't have the personality required and at times his critques seem very forced.

Although it has generated work for him (jubilee stuff, solo tour etc) he may be thinking that he's sold out his credibility, and once that's gone you don't get it back.

Exactly!

Rylan has shown a lot of restraint and like him or not (I do like him) I think that in itself should be applauded!

I actually think he is really enjoying it this year. It's as if Christopher is his revenge on Simon Cowell/Syco for inflicting Frankie Cocozza on him last year.

Whilst I know from my sources that he has been very supportive of a particular cause (in a non publicity way) in the last few years, which coincidentally can and hopefully will inflict further embarrassment on fiX-Factor at Christmas.

All in all I will be surprised if he returns next year.

Unfortunately simon and co didnt pick Frankie C'.....Gary/Robbie did!!
Good to see someone who knows what the show is all about....and as the producers /Simon has done everything to turn it into a circus show, the viewing public has decided to fight back and vote Chris in each week!! Nothing to do with Gary....chris wasnt his 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice, but he's content to support him if he has a chance to win him the crown!!

Hope he's back next year!!

Regrets! He is getting hundreds of thousands of pounds, not that he needs the money. His brief is to be blunt, it won't hurt his day job with Take That.

The judges don't pick who gets put through, it's decided by production. Mainly the best ones get through but sometimes it's an obvious script.

Oh and of course Gary doesn't regret being involved in the show, he's earning himself more money to not pay tax on

How old is he...Isn't Rylan big and ugly enough and entitled to to take critique like?

Rylan gives just as good as he gets... Gary is the one who keeps his cool if you ask me. He's the Singer Songwriter having to listen to Rylan
