Its always the same 4 or 5 flavours and their special edition is rare to find in the supermarkets. I just got from back from Saudi Arabia and even they have all the great different flavours you get in America.

Salted Caramel, green tea, sticky toffee pudding, caraMel cone. I can't name half of it. So much variety and unique flavours I've never heard of, whereas here they actually stop doing some flavours. What happened to Bananaoffe, strewberry and cream, brownie and caramel. All stopped.

More down to what stores stock rather than not being available.
The Hagen Daz shop in Leicester Square has a huge variety of flavours!!

Everyone loves Praline and cream but would you not like more variety?

in other countries they come in tubs with so much variety. The haagen Daz shop doesn't have most of those flavours I have listed apart from the green tea.

We get new flavours like Mint leaves and chocolate, which is just nasty.

I've had the salted caramel when I was abroad and its just Delicious, would love to get it in this country but they don't have it. anywhere.

They could have least introduced sticky toffee pudding in the country it originates from.

I know its silly to get care about this, but its bloody annoying..

I can only presume it's because they think they won't sell. I imagine Haagen Dazs spend a bit on marketing & research.

I highly doubt they sell more in China and Saudi Arabia than they do in this country.

Just saying. There must be a logical reason why they don't think a bigger range would work.

 Another thread where you stick up for these corporate companies being lazy. You did the same thing with McDonald's. They are not always right you know.

There used to be a Pistachio Magnum released here but they stopped selling that. It made me fall in love with Pistachio ice cream.

Anyone know a place to find Haagen Daz's American flavours in London?

You're right. I think it's similar in the Emirates:

And Kuwait:

My mouth is drooling, I've had Macadamia Nut Brittle once in their shop a long time ago, never knew that they had it in tubs, its delicious. Ahhh so angry with Haagen Daz

I have to know the reason behind their abandoment of the UK.

Do you honestly think it's down to laziness? 'Nah, we can't be bothered to make more money.'

How silly.

Yeah, they could be making millions more than they do but they're 'too lazy'.

Exactly, there are a multitude of reasons but being lazy certainly isn't one of them.

Well perhaps the company and their huge market research spend feel that their profits are currently maximised with the flavours they have. Or perhaps the size of their production plant is limited and this is all they can manage to produce.

Either way, being lazy is not the reason.

Could be the reason as well. In which case you can't blame them.

I absolutely LOVE HD Pralines and Cream flavour, but I am so envious when I look at the HD website and see the fantastic flavours that the Americans have !
If you are reading this, Mr Haagen Dazs, WE WANT THOSE FLAVOURS !!!

Considering every few months, the special, non-standard flavours get sold off in bulk, for between 50p - £1 for the normal pint size tub, it seems the standard flavours are more than enough for the UK market.

If even the new flavours they bring out on rotation can't sell that well, why risk launching more and more flavours?
