Melanie McCabe entering Eurovision

Not official yet but it's reported that mentor Mairéad Farrell has invited Melanie to be her representative in the Irish Eurosong final which takes place in February, and it's understood she has agreed in principle

I doubt she would want to go back after being rejected three times, and not even making it as far as she did last year, this year.

She should just join a girlgroup.

Agreed, she's pretty but not good enough to just go solo. She would have looked good in LM actually

No, she says she's had enough and going back a fourth time would be "ridiculous".

Does that mean we don't have to put up with Jedward again? There is a god somewhere

She was supposed to be one of Jedward's backing singers in Eurovision this year, but laryngitis struck her off that duty.

Obviously feels a singing career is not for her then.

I'm hardly an expert, but I'm pretty sure if you want to make it in an industry like music (professionally) you'd want to explore every possible avenue available to you...

I suspect because it sounded very much like David Guetta.

It's more credible than X Factor : three of the last four Eurovision winners have been massive hits across Europe and No.1 in many countries.

Why doesn't this girl just give up with competitions and focus on getting her own music out there independently. Yawn.

Is she going to whip her skirt off halfway though?

"And if you wanna see some more!"

Shes a great singer but she doesn't have the presence to make it on her own, especially not when Amelia Lily is doing well for herself.

It would be like when Jade Ewen won the Eurovision thing and attempted a pop career shortly after Alexandra won X Factor.
