Oh dear, first big mistake of this series. She could at least sell and negotiate and had some sense. The boys were both useless.

Stephen and David should be separated and made leaders next week.

These candidates seem to get on pretty well - no-one's ignored eachother after getting fired, the bitter winning team put the task behind them on their reward and they even seemed happy for David that he keeps surviving.

David definitely has to be team leader.

Grrrr.

I'm sure he is a lovely boy if a bit immature - but on TV he makes me cringe. And he just isn't any good!!

Her chin was quite substantial.

He will be an absolute delight in next week's task at the stately home well spoken, polite and charming.

As for her jaw problem, I went to school with someone who had exactly the same problem - and if Amy is going to get it fixed like my friend did she is looking at having her jaw broken, wired up for anything at least 6 months to a year, maybe more, being issued with an emergency pair of wire cutters in case she needs to be sick (sorry for being gross, but my friend was terrified that she'd feel sick, or be sick, while her jaw was wired up and choke to death on her own vomit; it's not fun). I wouldn't wish that on anyone, not even Amy - and I'm sure she's very aware that people stare, call her names behind her back and comment on her jaw.

That has no bearing on her performance in YA, but that is ALL that should be commented on here, NOT her appearance, which she cannot help.

I'm sorry, I just had to say that after reading several comments in a similar vein during this evening's thread while I was watching on catch-up.

Fair enough - I really don't care what they look like or what their beliefs are, I was just caught up in the frustration of them not being able to pronounce candelabra!

That was actually Zara on last year's Young Apprentice. No adult contestant ever thought of it in eight series.

On the whole, I think Stephen should have been the one to go. Ultimately it was his disorganised approach that lost the task. The squabbling between Amy and David painted neither in a good light, but it was a side-issue (I felt for Lucy though, stuck in the car listening to their crap. Not to mention the poor driver.)

The other team were little better, though their approach seems to have been the opposite; Navdeep, Patrick and Maria spent far too long on preparation (and on grumbling, though I was never very clear on how justified their complaints were). They were very lucky to win. Still hoping Navdeep will win though.

So was I - they did not equip themselves well when it came to general knowledge, although I'm sure if Max had still been there he'd have realised that candelabrum was the singular of candelabra... although even Sr Alan didn't seem too bothered if it was a single or multiple candle holder (did he even know the difference between them?!).

But I was just trying to separate Amy the candidate from Amy the girl with orthodontic problems that she is going to be suffering with for quite a while. Perhaps it's because I do have such personal experience (and, to make it even worse, my dentist is also one of my best friends - I know more than I need to about extreme problems like Amy's!) but whilst I was happy to read comments about her incompetence it wasn't fair to make jokes (however harmlessly meant) on about her looks.

She's gone now, though, so it's a moot point from now on!

I agree, it's really not cool to harp on about candidates' appearances the way some forum members do. Picking on something a person can't help (especially a teenager) is even worse! It looks like Amy has an underbite, maybe her braces are trying to correct it. I didn't like her as a candidate but no excuse to make unfunny jokes about her !

I thought she sealed her fate in the boardroom, it seemed like David might have been fired if she hadn't got so aggressive. This years bunch also seem extra quick to point the finger at the pm!
