No, i agree it was the first time you could really hear him against Matt and Mike (don't know the musical technical terms for their voices!!).

Ah well, i shall look forward to watching the recording when i get home, even though it is going to debated to buggery on here before then!!

As I said - that is not natural echo. The sound engineers work hard to remove echo by correct placement and settings of the mike.

Notice how Fern and Phillip do not echo when they talk.

.....with respect that was press speculation.......it is safe to say there are currently 2 major labels trying to sign them. These negotiations could be ongoing for some time.......so what Matt said was probably true.......nothing has been signed but there was interest.

darius had echo on to make him sound like that, why didnt their laughter echo if it was the rooms fault, why didnt bens singing echo if the room was to blame

I thought the vocals where spot on this morning, nothing wrong with G4, wish we could say the same about many top 40 artists who try to sing live.

For me discussions are going on and may be at crucial stage, but the 4 Guy's are very dipolomatic and that is what a Manager is for, and they will have been told to say nothing.

Yes Mr Cowell and SICO TV may push for the rule of three months before G4 can release a signle, but was that rule kept for His Beloved Gareth Gates when he came second to WILL YOUNG! no way!!

Sharon has come in for a lot of knocking these last few days, but no one can be as TWO Faced as Simon Cowell, and his lecture on Saturday Night about what Sharon and Louis was doing to His Artist, wish he had been as Honest with some other Artists in the past!

No let's celebrate the success of G4 this morning they come over well in interviews and their vocals are spot on, they just need a little tightening up when the four are being interviwed who are to reply, and that comes in time.

WELL DONE GUYS! - SUPERB !!!!

.......Louis is indeed remaining as their manager. He and his management team will be responsible for securing the best possible deal for the boys, not just in financial terms, but hopefully the best to nurture their talents. He also confirmed on ITV2 after the Final he was 110% committed to them and would remain their manager.

....they are always very articulate aren`t they.......just one question where Jon and Matt both wanted to answer. Thought they all looked very classy and the little stars they obviously are. Their singing was indeed superb.......

The singing was beautiful, really great interview and the boys looked very classy indeed. Slightly too much echo but that didnt affect the wonderful voices and ability the boys so clearly have. They were fantastic. Brilliant interview by fern and phillip and the questions answered very well indeed with no hesitation, repetition or deviation. Excellent

its just to put my mind to rest
as Ive said before ALL acts mime at sometime or other and to me it does not in anyway mean that they cant sing live

its to do with studio sound etc

And I really do NOT have an axe to grind on the boys

How can anyone even think for a minute they were miming? I think its a wind-up because of the debate over Il Divo singing live!

They sang live sitting on the sofa without music - wonderful!

OH FFS I never said they were !!!! it was just something I noticed and wondered if there was a reason

Some people cant stop thinking anything said about them is a criticism

I don't give a flying fig whether they were or not
just like I don't care if Divo were its just something that all acts have to do at sometime or other

Forget I even said anything

......I think certain people are just trying to wind us up Den (after I made the (correct) assertion that Il Divo were miming for the most part on GMTV).......as you say, a wonderful acapella version of When I Fall in Love. Have just played it back, and I for the life of me didn`t hear the "echo" that some are saying was evident. Maybe just me though

Kizzie, apologies if my lighthearted comment has been pounced on again by people - it's all about scoring points now - disagreeing for disagreeings sake and it's verging on the utter ridiculous.

Why people just can't like or not like something without tearing things to shreds is beyond me - i'm off now to watch it at home, i shall come back, not comment and hopefully all this will have died down.

I certainly will!

But I don't like your tone - I don't use the F word and don't appreciate it being said to me. I'm not happy either but don't resort to swearing! Are you one of the younger members of this forum? I'm an oldie and don't swear and don't expect my children to swear in front of me either. It doesn't cost anything to be civil.

Is Ben the dark-haired one? If so, I prefer his voice too. I did not like their version of that lovely song, 'When I Fall in Love'. I thought the little blond guy was not very good, especially at the beginning of the song. (Even though I don't particularly enjoy their singing, they usually are note-perfect, but he wasn't today.) They generally came over pretty well in the interview, although they were very guarded.

I completely agree, but it does seem a little one sided, Il nino or whatever they are called always seem to be slagged off but as soon as anyone wants to share an opinion about G4 they are berated.
