He is a goodlooking guy, the actor can manage himself quite well, yet they have managed to write this character as a selfish, immature, stupid, manipulative liar.

They took their nice time to introduce him to the show, got him a few good mates, Tina/Tommy had potential, but then he totally messed up when his father came to town, endangered his gf, and now this. I get that this would be hard on any bf, but he could try and muster some encouragement and sincerity.

It takes talent to make one of the most attractive looking guy who has managed to get his fanbase to act and seem the least attractive.

He should have encouragement and sincerity. This is clearing his debt.

I think he's owes Tina big time but doesn't appreciate it!

He should be ecstatic at his debt being wiped clear.

He is happy to take the money and run with it, but he isn't ready to take any responsibility for it.

I didn't think I would like this sl, but right now I'm feeling for Izzy and Tina, Owen and Tommy come across as jerks.

Tommy's been coming across that way for ages!

What did Owen do?

Owen is equally insensitive, and is seeing Tina as a walking womb, not a human who might feel confused and have doubts as well.

Don't like Tommy or Owen, but I hate Tina as well. This storyline is complete crap.

Not keen on the storyline either.

Coronation Street needs something exciting to happen at the moment. Something big and dramatic.

I don't think he's ever been likeable but then I remember his first year on the show which was all about him being a letch and even trying to bed Sophie's girlfriend at one point.

I am not enjoying this SL either and I am fed up of seeing Tommy have a strop and sulk.
In the past he has threatened to leave Tina if she went ahead with this pregnancy - if I was her I would have told him to sling his hook and take HIS debts with him then.

I have to say that 'unrootable' is a brand new word for me

I often associate 'root' with Australian comedy shows where it's used to mean shag/****.

"She's a slut and she knows it ... she wants to root all the boys"

With that in mind, I don't find Tommy unrootable at all

I can't watch this pair at all. Tina's distracting pseudo beehive which makes her look about 40 years old irritates the liver out of me. I first saw Chris Fountain when he was on Dancing on Ice and thought he was a great looking guy, now he's just a mardy faced eejit.

It's not just Tommy who you can't root for in this SL. It's all of them.

Tina's infuriatingly stubborn about the surrogacy being the "only way" to get this money when it isn't! Rita offered the money, twice, but Tina would rather be in Owen's debt than Rita's for some bizarre reason.
Gary and Izzy, a couple who don't really fit (imo), acting like having a baby is all they've ever dreamed of - again, it isn't! The fact that they act as if having a baby is now or never is irritating beyond belief. Gary's particularly bad with his intensity over the whole thing - and this is the guy who was saying what a relief not having kids was not so long ago
Owen's reverted to bully boy tactics to keep T&T on side, regardless of how either of them are feeling
Anna's just hovering around with a huge smile on her face, acting like everything's rosy.

I did not invent a new word, honestly. Every forum I go to uses it.

That was a horrible, unbelievable scene. Did they not realize she had just peed on the stick, and left it as "proof". LMAO

I think it's great - you need to claim it as your own ... you've got your own word now!

I thought that! Didn't Izzy or Gary or someone take it from her and hold it too? I was shouting "She's weed on that! Put it down!"
