He has Brendan right where he wants him.

I actually thought Brendan was pressing Doug's face against the window at first.

Anything to get him to be quiet.

BIB combined with all this Bruglas talk made me think bad thoughts

Brendan, please keep your bits out of Dougs mouth. Cheers.

IT WAS BRUGLAS ALL ALONG GUYS

trufax

ETA: It's sad how much better that makes me feel about Stug. Even if it is major fanwank. I do actually kind of want a canon Bruglas moment. Even if it's just a minor insinuation by Brendan, winding him up or something. And Doug getting a disgusted and then sort of intruiged face.

The bit I like best is that really pained shout of "Steven!"

It's O&O that made it, she's the genius
Well in that case congratulations O&O. Please accept as your reward a massive ham sandwich big enough to satisfy even Brendan's appetite

Happy new thread everyone and as someone else said we are now a thread closer to Dublin

I thought Ep was great, I was all sad when Jono died even though I knew it was going to happen especially with all the cutting between Ste & Ruby/Jono. Don't even know what to say about Doug anymore he's just Doug not much point in saying anything else Wish there had been more Brendan but I suppose it makes more sense for more prominent scenes to be shown tomorrow and into next week. I just really hope we get to see a scene where Brendan is on his own with Ste.

God, PJ's acting really was shoite tonight. I quite like him as a rule (not with Ste though obvs) but he was really awful. It's like he fell head-first out of the hammy over acting tree and hit every branch on the way down

Brendan first getting to the hospital and his collapse squeezed my heart.

At least PJ put some emotion behind it tonight as opposed to nothing but the fakest hysterics. There's ways of conveying that much profuseness without being badly OTT though. I always find him so hammy. I did like how Brendan could connect and be there for Doug as just a fellow man that's in love with Ste and scared out his mind right now.

I hope there's more time on them tomorrow.

That and the choked sounds that follow
I can't believe that he actually fell to his knees.

Me too.

It's crazy thinking we've really just got a month to go now. After having to keep (and occasionally lose) the faith for so long.

It does say alot about Doug that on his hysterical way to see Ste, not knowing if he is alright or even alive, it all immediately takes a back seat so he can fly into yet another jealous rage at Brendan. Whereas Brendan is hiding his heartbreak to support the stupid arse.

I understand that Ste is unpopular (I don't see why, but there you go...) but why are people moaning Brendan's reaction was OTT? Are people unaware of how he feels or something? Maybe I was foolish expecting praise in the main thread seeing as some people seem to want Brendan to be static and just remain exactly how he was, always.

I didn't think he was as awful as last night, but still very OTT.

I did have to giggle when there was that shot of him lying on a gurney or whatever, shouting and being held down. He looked deranged.

Brendan does actually press him against the glass.
He does? That's bloody hilarious.

I think PJ did the angry hysterical better than the sad hysterical. Either way, too much hysteria for my liking.

Do you think we will get a scene tomorrow with just brendan and ste on their own or is doug going to be permantly stuck to stes bedside
We could say NOOO after tonigt's epi.

if we are lucky enough Doug may pass out from pain ... otherwise he will get stuck the window

Hahahahahahaha, zippystripe! No, definitely not

I already watched the ep, but thank you anyway!
No problem

Happy new thread everyone

On a scale of "standing right in front of you" (Stendan's 1) to "head nudge" (anyone's 10) how good was tonight? We got comacross right? I've just left my goodbye party early to watch it, but I'm scared, I know I'm shipping for amazing actors but I'm worried I've hyped this up too much.

And does Ste drown in Doug's snot at any point?

I got given the inside soap annual as a parting gift (love my friends!) AWESOME magazine and every time I see Emmett in his real life clothes I fall a little bit more in love with him. However I could never have a good opinion of anything that says "Vanessa planning to wed Lucas whilst she's still in love with Rhys" (no idea who these characters are) and thirty pages later says "the pair would have lived happily after if it hadn't been for that meddlling Brendan." (about Stug )

Yeah I agree. I think he's pretty good at the anger. When he was doing his sad stretcher wailing it reminded me of that "LEAVE BRITNEY ALONE!" guy.

They'll pick anything apart in there.

I don't think PJ was shoite though ;_; Dun say that it makes me sad. I think he's very good but he kind of went a bit OTT. I get the whole hysteria thing (had a shock family death before) but it doesn't really quite hit you at first what's happening. It takes a minute to register so.. maybe he should've thought of that. However, having said that, it's probably directions. If they told him to be hysterical, then he had to be hysterical.

Because apparently Brendan is only IC when he's abusing/beating up someone and shows no emotion at all Except that he has ALWAYS shown emotions, even during his darkest days.
I didn't find his reaction OTT at all. It would have been OTT if they had made him react like Doug, who in contrast was painfully cringey and over-dramatic. But they didn't, so...
