I'd kill to see Brendan at Tesco.
The only scene where I thought Doug's hysteria didn't really work was in the opening bit. He barely had time to see Ste being wheeled past and he was already worked up and hysterical. Which made me think he was hysterical the whole ambulance drive to the hospital. Which made me think he'd have been sedated.
I'm surprised he wasn't sedated anyway! That state can't be good for someone who has just emerged from a massive crash.

I didn't like much he first bit with brendan on the floor I enjoyed the rest though except jp's acting that in some moments was a bit overdramatic

I have to admit I rarely look anywhere other than here, so haven't seen what was said, but I find that notion ridiculous.
Whether you detest it or adore it, you cannot deny Brendan's depth of love for Ste. So of course he's going to react to him possibly dying.
It's not as if he did a Doug and became completely hysterical.

Yes, I enjoyed the scenes where Brendan looks away... I feel as feelings go he is kinda an internal character so he keeps thinks close to his chest and him looking away, it's like he can't bear to see him that way and he doesn't want to look as he may give away his feelings infront of Doug and that would be awkward

If anyone knows anything about my views on Brendan by now, criticism of him (or Emmett) is something that doesn't come easy to me.
I did find his 'collapse' a little too melodramatic, although I thought his later scenes with PJ were fine.
The main thread in general is usually quite generous in its praise towards Emmett (apart from the odd one or two). I guess they weren't feeling it tonight

I've heard he's a big fan of their value range
The thought of Brendan in Tesco's doing the weekly shop makes me flail slightly. Can you imagine him and Ste there together? Ste would keep getting lost in the aisles and begging Brendan to buy him sweets. Brendan would say "no" to start with and then buy him a huge pick & mix at the end.
Cos he just can't refuse his boy anything

Oh I really didn't find him overly dramatic at all.
I was sitting with two people (one in particular) who would have had no problem at all telling me if they thought it was OTT as well. My one friend (the one I talk to about Stendan) would absolutely relish in telling me if he was being OTT haha. He would tell me that just for badness to get me to react! But all he had to say was good things and even said that Emmett is clearly a very good actor and 'one of the most developed characters in Hollyoaks,' High praise
I thought it was really believable to be honest. Much more than Doug's overly dramatic scenes. The thing is maybe it would have been strange if we had never seen Brendan react that way before, but he has reacted that way before. He reacted the same when Declan was found overdosed!
I don't know, I'm trying hard to figure out if I'm being biased or not, but I really thought his reaction was believable and my body got goosebumps. You could tell he was overwhelmed with it all at once because he wasn't even at the Wedding like Doug was, so it was hitting him all at once and he didn't even know how seriously Ste was hurt until he got to the hospital.
