And awkwardness around the sexual health section. And Bren teasing Ste about needing to take the contraceptive pill so he can go bareback and not knock him up.

He is better at the angry, but then we know PJ's hot-tempered

And I keep seeing people say 'PJ's good'- and then there's the 'but' . When's he been good?

He was at his best with Lynsey and during his Boxing Day ep, and he does comedy well, but otherwise he's just ok in any given scene. Just never wooden or anything. But he overcompensates in his emotional acting cos I don't think he accesses anything real. I never feel that.

But it's all very subjective I suppose.

Someone mentioned this the other day, but Brendan doing 'normal' stuff just tickles me. I love it.

Sarah, don't even get me started in the phone swapping, it actually annoys me

One time Ste had a slip phone one day, then an LG chocolate and then went back to the flip phone, why doesn't one character have one bleeding phone?

It's not that hard

Oh jazz hands...didn't even notice....LOL, good catch. I kinda think I found it a little fake(don't shoot me!) just the bit he steps in sees ste and suddenly falls back that split second I get uncompfortable. My opinion but Emmett pleases me always.

Finally reading SAFE by Chips and I'm on chapter 6 and I am in love, it's like reading Twilight/QaF gettin all the buzzy vibes, it's brillian writing. Truly great

Brendan would NEVER pressurise Ste like that!

To be fair, he would probably have to explain to him what contraception is first. Ste didn't seem very familiar with it in his pre brendan days!

Then again neither was Brendan when he had his evil way with Walker as I recall. Naughty boys the pair of them

Maya, He's seriously doing my nut in! Perhaps I'm reacting like this cause I don't like him, I don't know.

How am I going to go on ... I keep thinking.. It's just till December, come on Kojan, woman-up, but It feels like it's literally never going to end

Ste always used condoms with Brendan, he'll have you know.

Just not Rae.

And Walker liked it bareback.

I think the collapse was completely believable. He'd been on a mission from the moment he played the voicemail. I imagine him driving on autopilot, parking in a doctor's space at the hospital, careering through the corridors as we saw, and then the moment he achieved what he'd wanted, finding Ste, the reality of it hit him like a punch.

I share your feelings. But the way I see it, he drove me crazy back in June too, or whenever Jubilee Week was, and everything Brendan/Ste related felt hopeless.

Whereas now, he still drives me mad, but there's a light at the end of the tunnel. Hang in there.

I find it very unusual that anyone would find Brendan's reaction OTT when he was reacting in such a raw way, just like Jacqui was over Rhys. What else would he have done? The pain of seeing Ste with tubes coming out of him on death's door literally knocked the wind from him. He was so distraught he couldn't stand. Emmett played it brilliantly, end of.

No you're right, I find him an ok actor at best I do think that his acting has been a little off since this Stug stuff started because they made his character too emotional and tormented and "dramatic". Thing is, PJ is perfectly capable of doing great emotional stuff (i.e Boxing day) he doesn't need to wail and screech like a freaking banshee
And I get that he wants to make people cry but it's just not working. Look at Claire Cooper: that is a really good dramatic actress. She's believable when she cries, when she screams, when she's in histerics.
PJ just... tries too hard.
Maybe I'm biased, I don't know. But I don't think that anyone can say that he was good last night/tonight

What who's saying Brendan's reaction is OTT?
Have they been watching the show the last few weeks. Brendan's in love. He's just seen the only person in the world he loves basically dying infront of his eyes. His legs were that weak he couldn't stand how the hells that OTT?

I think PJ's a very comical actor and he damn well can cry, but I always find characters that cry and cry over people rather cringey. When Cheryl kept crying over Lynsey body and at the morgue and then on to the next day, I just thought it was too much

Sinead's crying annoyed me too last night.

Ste's crying is silent and adorable so I love it and Brendan rarely cried so when he does it's a big deal...

I thought it was very believable too, I've had that punch in the gut feeling before and you lose all control of your body, that is exactly what would of happened. Then in typical Brendan fashion he attempted to pull himself together and not be weak. It's Brendan all over.

I think when PJ has to do emotional scenes it just feels really forced and he over does it so it doesn't feel real or natural.
