What is with all the skin coloured fleshing this year ? From a distance they do look like skin but as soon as you get a close it looks ugly and like tights around your chest or sides or something. Some of the women dancers almost have the fleshings all the way up to their neck, are they not allowed to show cleavages or something this year ?

These are good questions, I wish I had the answers.

Perhaps it's to ensure that the female dancers don't inadvertently reveal too much boobage (rather than cleavage). Or worse, nipplage.

Or to ensure that they're not worrying about the possibility of a boobgate/nipplegate 'wardrobe malfunction' as they skip the light fandango.

Or maybe they just got a job lot of the 'fleshing' stuff, and need to use it up!

Talking of Boobage is 'boob cam' still up and running?

I must admit I've never heard of 'nipple gate' before.

Yes, it's bouncing along quite nicely.

maybe they just feel more comfortable performing whilst wearing the skin coloured fleshling

I must admit I hadnt noticed it before Fern did her salsa but given her age (not meaning that unkindly at all) maybe she felt more comfortable wearing it than not wearing it

I would agree probably to guard against wardrobe malfunction. Felt a bit sorry for Fern as it was ill fitting at the back of her dress (which otherwise looked great) last week.

Agree, I thought, apart from the back, she looked amazing and I'm not even a Fern fan. Her dress was waaaay too tight

I think they have always used it but the actual shade this year is just 'off'.

Probably had to buy a job lot from a closing-down sale. It's the cuts, you know. Also cutting back on the fake tan. Hard times. Austerity measures.

Put the two together and you've got.......fugly.

They let Fern down badly with that fleshing stuff at the back of her dress, she deserved better, it showed a lack of experience.

Ive only really noticed it on Fern and Lisa (Lisa for obvious reasons).

They really do need someone in the costume department that knows what they are doing, you wouldn't get debacles like that in Saville Row.

Probably because in Saville Row, things cost mega-bucks, and would be out of reach for most sane broadcasters working to a tight budget.

Working on a tight budget is no excuse for poor workmanship and low standards.

I think that is a little rude the costume department do a really good job - ok, they get one or two things wrong every now and again but to say they dont know what they are doing.....

body stocking (never heard it called fleshing ) is used on most costumes in some part from the leotard the dress is built on to pieces used in plunging neck lines has been used on show since the start - looked like the Fern dress was a little big (maybe she had lost weight) and so it did not look as it should

It was extremely Rude and negligent of the costume department to leave poor Fern exposed in such a way, it was an all time low point for them.

It's very American tan this year sent it? And it as the texture of a balaclava from the look of it.

A better shade and a thinner, lighter material and it would have been fine.

I confess that I'm not a skilled seamstress but if I had been there I would have willingly protected Ferns modesty with my own hands and thats not idle chit chat you can take that to the bank.

I think it's to protect the viewers from seeing too much cellulite. Some flesh is best hidden away. The professional dancers have nothing to worry about on that score.

Less body stocking would be needed if they fitted the bra area better. Back fat is never pleasant and not so apparent with a correctly fitting bra.

More male boobage this year. Always wonder when men's pec part area isn't flat whether it feels like it needs support. Because even though it's harder than a female boob I have seen them go up and down whne the men have danced so just wonder when men get this if they feel they need support for their pertruding pecs. Sorry, I've been drinking.

I'm not a prude but male boobage should not be on display like sweets in a shop window, some of the girls watching are married.
