Nicky & Karen's Jive....
jiroos
16-11-2012
....will score (at least) one TEN at Wembley tomorrow - there, I've said it!

I just have a really good feeling about this dance for them. Nicky seems to be enjoying the experience more, evidenced by the fact that he has really improved as the weeks have gone on. In addition, from the training footage, their routine and execution of it looks great and Nicky is very well-versed with performing in huge venues. I just feel (and really hope) he will come into his own tomorrow.

All the best to them both!!!

based on the training footage I think it could be his best dance to date but I dont think he will get any 10's - sorry

I doubt it, Denise's jive was excellent and no tens. It looks as if it will be good but I doubt it will be THAT good. Here's hoping he doesn't make any errors.

We all know Denise's should have got at least some 10s - I think it being so early in the series went against her. Had the judges awarded them, they would have been left with no where else to go later down the line.

C'mon Team Karky - you can do it!!!

Gobsmacked if he gets a 10 but I do think it might be the last dance of the night - so every chance of scoring extremely high.

Bruno gave Louisa ten in the second week when she did her jive, with, around 5 hours training time.

I thought his posture looked poor - hunched over too much?

Must admit I've only seen it once and have not had the time to rewatch.

Couldn't possibly be better than Denise & James jive. It won't score 10s Jason was predicted 10s for his jive at Wembley & it all went wrong

It's almost impossible to predict what the judges will score this year if you try and base it on previous years'. There is obviously a clear determination this year to keep the scores to a more realistic level early on in the competition, otherwise we would already have seen the odd 10 being awarded.

I wouldn't be at all surprised to see the 10 paddle being waved around at Wembley, but whether it will be for Nicky's dance remains to be seen. It looks to be a dance that will suit him - soft knees won't be an issue in the jive but his hunched posture remains a problem.*

* Please don't let this vaguely technical talk fool you - I know nothing about dance...

I agree Denise's jive could not get a ten it was too early in the series. It was great to watch but by her own admission there were lots of spins in it which took up a lot of time in the routine so there were not too many kicks and flicks associated with the jive. Nicky should be able to sell this dance and it does look as if they have worked really hard on the footwork. I would love them to get a ten but I feel that honour will go to to one of the frontrunners. Fast dances can so easily go wrong as Jason found out last year. I am willing him to put on a great performance so that it shows he can be up there with the best. I feel he has it in him.

Are you kidding? I was grudgingly impressed when I a clip of him on ITT but having looked at the training videos it looks like he's back to being slouching, sloppy and stompy. God, I sound like Craig with my alliterative criticisms.
I really don't see it being better than Denise or Dani's unless Karen manages to work a posture correcting miracle before tomorrow night.

I think and hope for his sake that he does well but no way could I see him getting 10. I think he's always far too slouched over although he has improved greatly.

He actually forgot his routine. He was expected to get a 10 so the end of the show was a bit flat.

I think with Jason it happened after he went down the steps from the plinth? if so, then it might just have been that which triggered the loss of the choreography if he had learned it without going down steps.

Its going to feel different in a big space for all of them. At Blackpool in series 8 Matt got disoriented and was facing the opposite direction at the start of his Samba until he saw Aliona facing the correct way.

Don't know about tens. But Jason let pressure and nerves get to him, and I really don't think Nicky has any issues with confidence or nerves. Very different people, imo. I think Nicky will be as good as he can be tomorrow - and of course we'll probably all have very different opinions on how good he was.

I can see it being good, maybe his best in terms of performance and technique. But he must connect more with Karen I feel.

It looks fast and boppy so as long as he can keep in time then I think he'd get 7s at minimum. He needs to be less bent over though, as already mentioned, unless he was playing the character of the Hunchback of Notre Dame in this routine.

It's been looking good in training, let's hope that continues into performance Tonight and earns him some decent marks

the snippets of training i've seen do look good, however i am sort of hoping he falls over or something, as i have a rational dislike of him derived from his first few weeks of moaning and complaining.
