I know that with a lot of threads, the characters of Maddie, Neil and
Spoiler
) weren't always popular with a lot of forum members. However all three did get great exits - if it were me I would certainly be pleased (okay I would be losing my job- if it wasn't my choice to go ) to be killed off in a spectacular storyline - rather than leaving quietly in a taxi or not even having my exit shown on screen at all like some other Hollyoaks characters have suffered.

I thought Neil was brushed under the carpet a little, but he was a bit of a non-entity so it's understandable I suppose. Maddie's death was brilliant though. What a way to go.

Karma at its best for Maddie! Was kind of Final Destination-esque.

Haven't seen the
Spoiler
ep yet. Not sure I want to if it is as sad as some of my facebook friends have said.

Its sad coz its not something i saw coming and also how it was done in terms of scenes interwining with Jacqui and her grief and the song that was played upon so scenes

Gutted about Jonno but it was one of the best scenes I've seen in any soap for a very long time. The lass playing Ruby surprised me she was brilliant

Maddie's death was great. Very final destination and brilliant karma for Maddie; what a bitch she was

Neil - meh. It's kind of fitting no one gives two hoots about his death

All we need is Ste to die and the show can finally become interesting again and stop being mired in the love triangle with him and Doug and Brendan.

Its so tedious, they need to move on and this would give it finality.

I totally saw it coming actually - it was kinda signposted with the way he slumped down in her lap, resting against her. He probably had a pinprick rupture of his aorta which was steadily bleeding - you can walk about for hours appearing normal until it gets to the point where the internal haemorrhaging becomes critical and then its too late.

What clued me in early on (as I'm not as medically knowledgable as you seem ) was Jack speaking to him about his future as a great soldier and husband, and then Jono telling Ruby about the proper wedding he'd give her and their future together. If a character is constantly talking about the future, its usually a good indication that they won't have one for much longer
