No atmosphere at Wembley

Wembley s so big that the atmosphere is lost. Just my view

I was there last year and the audience and atmosphere were fantastic.
I haven't been to the 'Strictly' studios so can't compare but my friend and I had a great night....it was just brilliant to have a chance to be there.
The studios are so small the chances of a ticket are remote....I tried every year from the outset.

It's a different kind of atmosphere, that's all. As the venue is so much bigger, so the audience is bigger, the dancing is bigger and the razamatazz is bigger.

I personally didn't care for the over-the-topness of Wembley last year, but that's just personal choice. It seemed to me that the Wembley vibe didn't really transmit itself to the TV, but I have no doubt that the atmosphere for the audience will be electric.

ditto and absolutely agree

the atmosphere is electric - sorry to those watching on tv that it didnt come across last year but I had THE most amazing time and I am so grateful that Strictly has done this again this year to give thousands of fans the opportunity to experience the show

It was rubbish on TV. Awful.

But they do it for the bums on seats. Just grin and bear it for one week.

I agree with this - last year the Wembly episode was so dull. The camera angles were too wide and the performances got lost.

I've heard mixed views on how it was at Wembley last year with some folk saying they could hardly make out who was dancing while other folk have said the atmosphere was smashing.
Not having been there myself I can only say that on TV it was a huge disappointment to me. The dancers did'nt cover the floor properly, the dias thingy was an eyesore, the camera work was even worse than usual and everyone appeared to be hyper excited to be at a show that transmitted poorly to us at home. Oh and the quality of the music was awful. I'd much rather they went to Blackpool.

I didn't enjoy the Wembley show last year. I'm sure the atmosphere must be brilliant but it just doesn't come across on the telly.
I may just wait for the spoiler

That was my point really. It doesn't translate to TV. I have been to 3 tour shows over the year and the atmosphere is fantastic!

I was disappointed in the Wembley show last year, the venue seemed to swamp the dances - but I think the camera work might have been responsible for that impression. I seem to remember it was very distant and swooped around a lot, so that you never got the impression of being there and seeing the dancers' performances in any detail.

Hope the filming is better this time. There's so much to enjoy with these Specials, I don't want to miss a thing.

Do they have tv screens at Wembley? I'm sure its very difficult to follow the footwork without them.
