Is Helen Flanagan the toughest, most stoical woman that's ever appeared on the show?

She was so selfless last night, making sure she didn't get any stars just so Charlie wouldn't feel bad about only getting 3. She never thinks of herself, only others.

If she'd have been on the Endurance with Shackleton we'd never have heard of him!

Dame Flanagan saves all 27 crew members with her amazing leadership, bravery &. tenacity. I salute you ma'am.

I have done my best, my very best, even though I haven't suceeded, to think of something amusing to write in this thread. I am sure with Helen and her amazing wit and vocabulary beside me I could have done so much better.

Loving this thread.

I'm looking forward to seeing the beautiful & brave children Helen will have (when she can find a surrogate). They will join her in changing the world in her image.

Yes indeed, that truly showed us how inspiring Helen is.

Excellent recreation of future news footage. I'd imagine that being a perfect representation.

In other news ...
* The Queen has just announced a new title to be added to the New Years Honour list. OSH, "The Order of St Helen" which will be given to those who exhibit extraordinary bravery during times of crisis. There are also rumours that The Queen will soon abdicate ... as long as Helen agrees to take the throne straight away ... and revive the British Empire in it's entirety.

A friend asked me to describe who Helen was (how could she not know!). I told her to imagine a woman so beautiful she makes the rest of us look like fat, short, hairy men, a person so fearless she makes James Bond look like a right sissy, a creature so sublime that other mere mortals can only bask in her reflected glory.

I haven't seen my friend since for some reason...

Professor Brian Cox has said that he's in awe of Helen's grasp of quantum physics. She can be everywhere at once but what she's actually doing is undetectable to the human eye.

We are all just a Pale Blue Dot in the Universe of Helen

Shame Sagan is dead or he could have narrated about her.

If Helen was the vocal coach on X-Factor she'd have Rylan singing like Luciano Pavarotti inside two weeks.

My god, wasn't she magnificent tonight? The way she just wasn't taking any shit from those greedy, selfish camp mates expecting food. You go girlfriend!

She is an inspired choice of contestant. Every camper will come away from this feeling a better person for having seen her in action. Natural female leaders pass this way rarely. We need to treasure the ones that do.

Helen I am in awe of you.”

She always gives 100%. You can't fault her for that.

She reminded me of a young female version of Lenin or Che Guevara. Truly she is a revolutionary hero for our modern times.
To confront the hamster wheel in the way that she did, and to immediately identify the corrupt officials hiding in plain sight to ridicule her herculean efforts, by throwing small insects in her general direction.
She did all this, and she held strong my people! She threw the promise of food back into the faces of those that would demean her! "I have given 100% my friends! I am empowered".
Such nobility. Such strength.
I must travel to the Southern Countries and throw myself at the feet of this Goddess! For she is the future.
Who will join me? Hurrah!!

Being sad I do feel sorry for Helen. I do sorta feel as if I'd react in similar ways to her just not as bad.
It looks really hard to what they are put to do.
She should try more with her camp mates giving out to her at least now.

Let's not forget how Helen was willing to go to the jungle pub to quaff ale and eat snacks, to bond with her campmates. Selflessly, she thought only of others and how much her presence would make their evening unforgettable.

She did all that...sniff...sob...rather than stay in camp resting and thinking about how wonderful she had been, giving 100% during her last gruelling trial. What a woman.

Well, it's now 2340 and it's taken me this long to collect my thoughts after the stunning display of fortitude, determination and sheer effort, at least 200% I'd warrant, invested by the shining example of selflessness that is our heroine, our light in the darkness of our pitifull existence, dare I say our Goddess.

May I be the first to beg the priviledge of spreading the rose petals at her feet, when she makes her triumphant return and parades through the streets of a nation of grateful fans, who are surely aware of how unworthy we are to be sharing the same universe with such a divine being.

(BTW. When are we going to start the petition for her canonisation?)

Don't you realise Helen taught Carl everything he knew?

(Seriously, Cosmos has to be one of those series that, even all these years after it was first screen, begs for repeating.)

When you're weary, feeling small, when tears are in your eyes, she will dry them all. She's on your side. When times get rough and friends just can't be found , like a bridge over troubled jungle, she wiil lay her down.
