Folks, being a massive U2 fan I would like to know what your views on their Superbowl half time show.

For those who didnt see it, they played Beautiful Day, MLK and Where The Streets Have No Name. At the beginning of MLK and during Streets they lowered a banner and displayed the names of those who were lost on the Airline flights and the New York Fire Department and Police Department on September 11th.

I personally thought it was an awesome and emotional performance, however one of my friends in America are saying that there has been a lot of anger about the names being shown.. Id like to know your views.

Dan

I think that seeing all the names go up and the length of time it went on for helped to portray the immense loss of life.

Dan I agree it was an awesome performance...
but it made me wonder: Does Bono believe himself to be more American than Irish/British these days???
Anyone know if I can download the performance from anywhere???

I didn't see it, but didn't Paul McCartney and U2 do the entertainment?...... seemed odd having a British guy and some Irish guys at a very American event........ I love U2 so good for them, and good that they celebrate names of the victims, they shouldn't be fogotten. I just wondered how the average American felt listening to non American singers?

Oh not wishing to nit pick, but isn't Bono southern Irish? they never consider themselves British do they?
