Agreed - how many cafes or tea shops, when faced with a queue, decide to put a sheet on the ground and say 'you can sit there'? It's a POOR business decision, Queues are quite good advertising, it was a nice day - probably the TV cameras made people happy to both queue and sit on the grass, rather than wait for or demand a table. Likewise punters saying they loved having to drink tea out of shoes or whatever was a charming part of the Mad Hatter theme, rather than incompetence. I'm still dubious about how they made the profits they did without it being something to do with being in a better location.

Also did one person actually order any of Ashleigh's disgusting sandwiches? Or did they have no choice? Chocolate and banana sandwich? I feel sick just thinking about it.

I feel really annoyed that they constantly try to make David the scapegoat.

I was asking a question, I wasn't being oversensitive or defensive, I opened myself up for correction.

Don't know if it makes a difference but I was using blacks to refer to the black race as a whole, not just a group of black people.
Well you are wrong and the term you use to describe a group of black people is wrong and possibly offensive. Don't play on words

Agreed. In this task, he did nothing wrong.

That was so apparent this week. The PM had it in for him from the start.

David was bog awful throughout the process. He did nothing right. The other correctly made him the scapegoat, though it could look like bullying from afar, David really was as crap as they said he was

I'm not going to suggest that David was the best candidate but there is little to like about any of the candidates this year. None of them have shown any stand out talent from what I've seen. I saw no evidence that he was significantly worse than the others. The girls just seem to be intent on point scoring against each other.

I don't think Lucy falls into that category, she appears very mature and a standout candidate.

Navdeep is also very strong, but occasionally falls into bitching (although usually with good reason, she is generally very personable.) Ashleigh and Steven have performed consistently well, but haven't stood out as being amazing. Patrick and Andrew are genuinely nice people, but are pretty weak on the tasks, although both have had some flashes of good. Maria is volatile, and has got this far because LS loves loud-mouthed girls. She won't win. If she does, I'm not watching the next series.

There is not going to be a next series of the Young Apprentice. So it looks like Maria may win...

I meant the next series of The Apprentice, Young or adult.

Besides, we don't actually know for definite that there won't be another series of Young, Sugar is clearly keen for it to continue. While the BBC have implied that they won't be doing anymore, they have not made an official statement, so they might not make that decision - although I agree it seems likely that they will. Lord Sugar has threatened to move to another channel if the BBC axes it. According to this article, he is not on an exclusive contract and is within his rights to do that:

"David can wear the costume, at least it'll keep him quiet". Surprised that remark wasn't brought up against her in the boardroom when she was complaining that he didn't contribute enough.

Thats was a logical problem. But she could have got around it by commenting on his activity outside the costume and getting everyone to agree on his past contributions..

There was a bigger logical issue when Lord Sugar claimed Ashleighs idea was both impractical and not unique because it had already been done.........

I agree! David, sadly, actually performed well on this task, though he should have been fired for his track record. I felt like Ashleigh was setting him up as the fall guy and her criticisms were unfounded. She seemed to take no responsibility for the failure even though it was her fault for pushing through a flawed idea.

Ashleigh was also sidelining him because she didn't trust him, based on past performance. I don't believe there was malice in that, just a desire to win. Which they didn't.

David talked the talk but failed to walk the walk. He was all talk until he actually have to manage or put plans into action and then he had little idea. As a college trained caterer, I cringed at his lack of common sense in the Afternoon Tea task. The other girl had got it right, but due to the rules, you could serve awful food, keep customers waiting and then sit them on the grass was fine just as long as a quick profit was made.

David was shored up by his colleagues many times and his undertone of arrogance regarding workers and workmates is quite disgusting. If a white contestant had said it about black people, there would have been a huge fuss but reverse racism is not worth discussing.

David needed a reality check which he has had and I hope it curbs his big mouth and outrageous statements that only made him look ridiculous.

What makes you think he was referring to all white people, did he mention white people blah blah blah?
Reverse racism? What utter rubbish!
