I'm hoping that we get some suprise winners/nominations/performers next year but I predict it'll probably just be an Emeli Sande Appreciation Night.
![]() Hoping that Plan B gets a few nominations for his 'Ill Manors' stuff, though.

Thought they might of considered not doing it live this year, because of the Adele/James Corden incident.
I always thought it was better a few years ago when they did it the night before it was broadcast on TV. |

Yes i think shes got British Female in the bag. My guess for British Male is either Labrynth or Plan B.
Predictably Rhianna will win International Female i would say. No idea about international male - bound to be a yank though, always is. |

Yeah, the Emili love will stretch to a couple of awards at least. I wonder whether Robbie can add to his brit haul with british male, but i hope to see Plan B win.
I wonder if Nicki Minaj could snatch international female though frankly i hope not. |

International female will be Nicki or Taylor Smith. No one else will get a look in this year.

Taylor and Rihanna would be competion but am I the only on who thinks Lana has it in the bag. That scary Minaj bitch has no chance, but will be nominated. |

International Female
Quote:
Taylor Swift Rihanna Nicki Minaj Lana Del Rey Katy Perry Though there is always some random artists I've never heard of in this category or some artists I have never heard a single from that year (e.g. Feist and Bjork this year). Personally I would give it to Lana Del Rey hands down but judging by recent awards I'm guessing Taylor will get it which is a shame. Lana's album is the stand out album of the year for me but Taylor seems to be in "in" thing at the moment. |

Katy won't be nominated as she hasn't released a new album to be eligible. Only re-released an existing album which won't count. Anyway, they never nominated her for this year's awards
It will likely be Lana Taylor Rihanna Nicki Minaj Madonna I went for Madonna as even though her MDNA era hasn't been as huge, the brits love her and never seem to snub her. But if not Madonna, then maybe Carly Rae Jepsen If they were to go for a less successful female like they did with Feist and Bjork, Alanis deserves a nomination imo. |

I'd like Taylor Swift to win International Female this year over Rihanna.

Katy Perry won't be eligible. It looks like she's hardly been out of the charts this year, but she's been flogging a 2 year old album.
I think the following could be contenders: International female: Lana Del Ray Rihanna Taylor Swift Nicki Minaj Carly Rae Jepsen International male: Gotye David Guetta Florida International group: Fun Maroon 5 Train The Script British female: Emeli Sande Rita Ora Ellie Goulding Marina & the diamonds Paloma Faith Rumer British male: Calvin Harris Robbie Williams Labrinth Conor Maynard Example Olly Murs Plan B British group: Mumford and Sons Alt J ? One Direction Breakthrough act: Rita Ora Alt J British album: Mumford & Sons - Babel Emeli Sande - Our version of events Calvin Harris - 18 months British single: Emeli Sande - Next to me Jessie J - Domino Rudimental - feel the love Rizzle Kicks - Mama do the hump Tulisa - Young Alex Clare - Too Close Florence/Calvin - Spectrum DJ Fresh/Rita - hot right now Rita/Tinie - RIP Cheryl - call my name |

Was she? I thought she was only up for the critics award? But of course, Heaven and RAAI part 3 were released last year.
It is a post in progress by the way - I clicked on submit too soon! Have edited it and added some more contenders, as I'm doing this from memory. By the way, artists can be nominated 2 years in a row. I'm sure Robbie Williams managed 3 years in a row at his peak. |

It was random why she was up for Best breakthrough because she hadn't officially broken through, hence why they gave her Critic choice award
True, Florence may be up again, personally someone else deserves a chance. Paloma, Rumer or Marina i want to see. |

Forgot about Paloma - will add her. Rumer being nominated would be great. I adore "Slow" which was criminally ignored. She could do with a post Brits boost.

Her Boys don't cry album was stunning, especially for a covers album. Plus they nominated her back in 2011 so maybe she could be on their radar still.
