Battle of the drama queens
X Factor divas duel: It's Chris Maloney v Rylan Clark in the battle of the drama queens
Quote:
Chris is upset at having no contact with his mentor all week. From what Rylan says of Nicole's absence he's been very nice and understanding about her, why can't Chris fathom Gary has other commitments? |

Whatever is said about Christopher I do believe that he probably isn't getting a lot of support from his mentor.
Barlow looks completely disinterestersed when Christopher sings. I am a fan of Rylan. He is the reason I am still watching this dire series of X Factor. |

I'm a Rylan supporter of him on stage and backstage. I wouldn't fancy my chances of trying to out-diva Chris from what I have read. Apparently Rylan is a very nice man indeed and no one has a bad word to say against him.
![]() I think Rylan is smarter than Chris, so I can imagine some wonderfully cutting remarks, which I suppose suggests from me he can't be a very nice man. ![]() I'm sure Rylan defends himself and surely that's reasonable. I wonder if Chris sees Rylan as his biggest fly in his ointment as regards headline grabbing? Come what may, I believe Rylan will have a more successful career doing whatever after X Factor than Chris. |

I'm not that surprised to be honest. I've heard so many stories about Chris being a diva, but IMO it's the things people DONT say that make me think at least some of the stories are true!
I wasn't a fan of Rylan at the start, but he's handled himself on the show with real dignity in the face of Gary's dislike, and he is definitely entertaining. Gary obviously isn't bothered with Chris or he would be giving him different songs. I think he knows he won't win the record contract so he's giving him songs for the cruise ships he'll be singing on afterwards. |

Of course he wants fame and all this may bring to him, but he shouldn't be condemned for that. I know you, jackbell, aren't condemning him, it's for those who may read this who are condemning him for his fame whoring. I say he's as honest as the day is long: what you see is what you get with Rylan. I also read he speaks with Lucy Spraggan every day, so he's a loyal friend too.

Both acts are Drama Queens. The report is only highlighting the fact and taking the opportunity to promote it.

I heartily agree Rylan has handled himself with dignity in the face of that Goliath Gary Barlow. I'd be surprised after X Factor is long gone for both and confidentiality contracts are over if Rylan ever talked down about the opportunities X Factor gave him. I wouldn't be surprised if Chris did. All this has to be waited for to see, of course. Pure speculation on my part. |

So now we have Rylan who was initially planned as Public Enemy pitched against Christopher who is getting more public support than was expected. This will be the year X Factor ate itself with all these drama, villain and diva stories.

![]() However I can understand Chris being annoyed if Gary seems to be putting his solo tour first - even though they are with the vocal coaches/choreographers during the week, not the mentors. He's probably miffed that Gary isn't answering his mobile

Christopher, in my opinion is the one handling himself with Dignity. Can you imagine him calling Tulisa and Louis a pair of bores?!....I can't. |

![]() I will laugh like a drain if Christopher comes out with his usual clichés tonight — I'm doing me best, etc. — if the judges other than Gary tear him to shreds again tonight. Christopher really has morphed into the pantomime horse. ![]() I don't expect Christopher to leave this weekend if leaks about votes are correct. I do expect, if Rylan leaves, Rylan will leave with the greatest charm and will provide a memorable turn tonight.

It wouldn't surprise me if Rylan came on stage with a blow up sheep tonight in another of his weird performances. Both Chris and Rylan are well matched in my opinion.
