The last time I checked this was a discussion forum and thread was asking us to post our package cost. So that is what we've done.
Perhaps those on these special deals should make it clear, though. (Which I see you did )

I've recently downgraded & they offered and I took TVM (not M+) with Tivo, 30MB BB & Phone XL (with some 08 extras thrown in) = 30 p/m. Going up 4.84 but not sure if that's for my old package or new one?

With SkyHD+ I get all movies in HD, all sports in HD, entertainment, Tivo in spare room all for around 65 p/m after increase. I'm sorted for a year.

Also, I don't get the impression that Mates Rates are much better than what you'd get if you rang up as a potential customer and tried to haggle for the best deal. VM employees can dominate an unlimited number of people and the only criteria is that you are adding at least one extra service, so it's not that restrictive.

.

Just curious, I presume you pay the TiVo fee but no TV pack charge, is the TiVo fully functional ie 3 tuners HD etc?

To add to the discussion:

o You will not get better than Mates Rates as a non-Mates Rates customer.

o Mates Rates is restrictive as the vast majority of Virgin Media customers do not have access to this rate. How many employees are there and how many customers?

I really do wish that those that are fortunate to have a friend or family member work for Virgin Media would refrain from posting Mates Rates prices on here.

It is of no value to the majority who have to pay real rates for their services.
Perhaps if you were a bit more pleasant online someone might have offered you a deal before now?

I'm responding to the OP and i pay real money for my services.

I'm assuming so, yes. At the moment the Tivo is being used as a doorstop!! I need to extend the cable to another room to check it. If I'm paying the Tivo fee I'm assuming I'll get 3x tuners, HD and catchup.

I have:

TiVo XL
2nd V+ HD box in Bedroom
Phone: Weekends
Sky Sports
Talk 08
60Mb BB

I was being charged 83.65 for this until yesterday, so I phoned them up to complain and I managed to get it down to 79.35 until the price increase hits. I will then be paying 83.74 after the increase. So basically I won't feel the increase as I have just acquired the discount to cover it.

I wouldn't assume that, a virgin rep told me that you had to have M+ pack minimum in order to get any HD on the TiVo, that may have changed.

I'm not too fussed if there's no HD, the extra tuners are the main bonus for when I run out on Sky. Going to wire it up this weekend so will confirm what I get.

Tivo XL x 2
60mb BBI
XL phone

Not even sure if this is possible on My rates! Certainly not with the current deals I don't believe.

Maybe an old offer where there was no full Tivo surcharge for the extra box.

If you want a good deal on your Virgin Media package, working for them is definitely the best way to go though

I get the VIP Collection + Caller Display for the retail price - 9/month discount for a year. Also had extra 6 months off Spotify Premium for free (that's a total of 18 months free worth 180).

20MB Broadband
M TV
V+ HD box
M phone

36.40 a month (+2.24 from Feb)

Does not seem a great price compared with others and what is available to new subscribers. Any thoughts on what to ask for if I call retentions? I do not really need any 'enhancements'.

You are???

I've got:
M+ TV
500Gb Tivo
10Mb Broadband

that's it.

For that I pay the princely sum of 39.50 - going up to about 43 in February

I feel a switch to EE and a YouView box coming on when my contract expires in January.

I think it's roughly 44 a month. (currently on some reduced rates due to a home move)

I'm happy with the price I pay, not so happy about the high latency most evenings, but I've complained about that and will force them to end my contract unless they fix it.
