Why won't it work with music bought from iTunes - it's not had DRM for about 5 years!
To convert your iTunes library to MP3, do the following:
iTunes > preferences > general. Click on 'import settings', then 'import using' and select MP3 encoder. Below that, select the desired bit rate.
Next, in your iTunes library highlight the files to be converted in iTunes and choose 'create MP3 version' from the Advanced menu.
Then just plug in your Nexus, go to the iTunes music files on your computer and drag them to the Nexus!
