Yes she has experience but on the same token you could say that the majority of actors have been to stage school where they learn acting, dancing and singing; equally you could state sportsmen and women are at an advantage for being much fitter physically, superior stamina, more used to the rigours of training, naturally more supple/nimble etc.You could also say that singers / pop stars etc. are used to strutting their stuff on stage. The only thing Denise has over the rest is previously appearing in musicals. All I am saying is you could make the case for advantages for other contestants too.
