Camerawork tonight
Just shocking, particularly when the dancers weren't on the central raised area of the stage.
How can you judge the dances, when you can't see parts of them? The BBC should be better than this. |

Zooming in and out to show how large the stage is, not showing much of the actual dancing.

Personally, I thought it was absolutely atrocious. I know Wembley is a big arena, but lets keep the wide shots for when people aren't dancing, okay? Before the judges speak, maybe?
The only time I liked the wide shots, were to show the lighting on the floor, when the couple where in place, but before the music/dancing started. The people who do the floor effects don't get enough love, I quite liked the sandy island lighting for Richard's Salsa. (Possibly the only thing I liked about it...) |

The BBC should be ashamed, they expect people to vote on the dancing with those camera shots?? Spoilt it for me!!

OMG it was abysmal. The camera angle changed so many times in quick succession and from varying distances it almost gave you motion sickness watching it

The worst for me was all those blinding laser/lights . They're so appallingly distracting when your trying to focus on the dancing.

Totally abysmal. Could not see much of the footwork if any and half the time the couples looked like little blobs stuck in a sea of lights. It was a calamity and ruined the show. No more Wembley shows thank you, the whole set is way too big.

the point of this show is missed yet again!! I dont want to see floor patterns, I want to see the dances (Must be this Entertainment show, not a Dance show) that people keep banging on about! Well it certainly was not a dance show tonight!!!!! Was it entertainment?

How come a rugby game can be shown, the slow moments with heaving thighs and sweat and close up (ooer) and the break across field, unpredictable and on the go, and not a moment is lost? That's what we need in Wembley. Sequins and hip wriggles instead of sweat and strain but it's the same diff.

Oh yes: I'm in complete agreement with the sentiments expressed here! Horrible, horrible stuff tonight...
I appreciate it was Wembley, big occasion, glitz 'n' glamour, but that camerawork made me feel sick and really spoilt the show for me. And yes, how on earth is one supposed to vote on dancing when it's so hard (at times impossible!) to detect footwork etc? Sigh...

Please do not go back to Wembley next year it is too big and the resulting mess of a show we got tonight proves it.
Awful camera angels, distance shots, lighting, but what really annoyed me was the constant switching between long shots, zooming in, panning out ( Into outer space |

I think it improved on last year's camerawork, but still not great. But they never get it right, even in the studio.
