That was awful from Only 16. Sounded like a funeral march.

But the song choice was rank.

Great song choice. Made it her own. Stole the show.

I usually like James more but tonight Ella was better.

Maybe some DS 'experts' dont like her, thats fine. I suspect the most of the voting GBP see (and hear) things differently to DS.

Ella can sing anything and make it her own.

Win or not she will have a huge career ahead of her.

The people who don't like her on here never will - can't understand why - as her voice is fantastic, powerful and unique.

She will be a star.

I think James or Jahmene are more likely to win but for her career it's irrelevant. Most of the stars with the exception of Leona from X Factor, haven't actually won. i.e,. One Direction, JLS.

It's nothing to do with expertise. I just think she's incredibly one dimensional with a very limited vocal range and just terribly, horribly boring.

Music is subjective, you love her, I hate her (not personally). Neither of us are 'wrong'.

I totally respect your right to not like her, but I think your wrong about her vocal range.

She is not my favourite but I like to keep an open mind and genuinelly thing she stole the show tonight.

Last week I thought Jahmene was best.

Overall I like James the most.

I gues my problme is that I think all these 3 are talented singers and I even think Union J are not too bad.

I'll be honest, I get flack from slating the same people every week but I think the best singers went out a long time ago because of tactical voting from the 'judges' (the way Jade went out was an absolute disgrace).

I don't like any of the remaining acts, I don't even know why I watch it any more. I suppose for me it's kind of gruesome, like slowing down in your car to get a close-up of the car crash which normally is not my thing at all but I am so amazed at how they glorify such awful acts I just can't stop watching.

Whatever it was originally supposed to be, a search for original musical talent is exactly what X Factor is not in its current state.

Sorry for the rant...

I really liked Jade and was rooting for her at judges houses. On the live shows she was robbed through poor song choices, arrangements, styling etc etc etc, but most of all she seemed to give up, she never had a real 'moment'. Such a shame.

Despite that, I thinl Jade was maybe too generic. James and Jahmene both have voices that people would recognise (I said recognise, not the same thing as 'like'), and for that reason I think they are potential recording artists.

Union J could easilly be marketed as 1D mark 2.#

Ella - good voice, a bit too much like Cher with her vocal style. Success would depend on how good are her song writing skills.

So all in all I have to totally disagree with you, but hey, it would be a dull world if we all saw things the same way.

Fair enough if people liked/disliked her. I just wish they'd stop saying she made that song "her own". She didn't. The producers saw a Sky 1 advert last year and stole the arrangement and gave it to Ella to oversing and growl like a woodland creature.

Jade was unbelievable in her sing-off against Incredibly Dull Boy Band no. 66345 and the judges saw their chance to get her out and that's exactly what they did.

Integrity be damned. The whole show is a farce. 'I don't know if you want it' says Barlow, the man has exposed himself as a complete and utter cretin.

I think she's incredibly talented, she has a great voice but I kinda wonder what the hell Tulisa's thinking with her. She's got 2 options - either growl her way through a song that's not suited to her or do this annoying 'strip back' thing that appears to be the current favourite way to try and show how good someone is.

Personally I think if you change the melody of a song it's really distracting and takes away from the performance. This week's sounded laughable. Ella & James both made it seem like they think they're too good to have a laugh and do something cheesy.

As for what she's wearing....I think the stylists must be having a giraffe. She's looked terrible almost every week then you see her VTs and her own style's perfect for her. Don't even get me started on the Halloween week hair....

Wll we can agree on all the above. Jade was certainly robbed, bt she would not hvae even been in the bottom 2 if Tulisa had not tried to make her into something she wasnt.

Absolutely!

And a bit like the guy on BGT who sang nursery rhymes.

For me, all her performances just blend into one big meh.

No other word for it, she pulls that face like she can smell something bad, then sings really slowly, kind of like the way Dory speaks Whale in Finding Nemo, and then it's over. Nicole offers constructive criticism and Ella and Tulisa ignore her, and then repeat the following week with more dreary dullness.

I don't see her doing well after the show if this is what she's going to be like, a lot of people with better voices haven't made it. Will she end every track on her album with "remember I'm only 16" which is actually quite arrogant to be honest, like "yeah, wasn't that amazing, plus I'm only 16, therefore I am even more amazing"

When did Ella ever make any reference to her age?

It has always been the JUDGES who bang on about her age, not Ella. When your 16 you dont think to yourself 'I'm only 16, Wow', you are used to being who you are at whatever age, no big deal as for as your concerned.

You dont like her siging, fine, but no need to put words in her mouth that she never said.

Repeatedly, mainly since floorfillers week "i just want to be 16" "I'm only 16" "people need to remember I'm only 16" she has said it.

I did like her singing, her believe was her peak though, since then it's too samey, and not in a good way, it's not lots of similar performances, like say James, it's literally just the same performance which gets boring.

I agreed with Nicole in regards to Ella's performance - it was more an exercise in showing she could sing as opposed to a real performance. The arrangement was terrible - she could have done the Angus & Julia Stone version, but might be a bit subdued for her/the show. That being said, she still sang it very well.

OK, I dont recall those quotes but I stand corrected.

I prefer James but I still think Ella is going to be a finalist and I would be quite happy to see her win and James come 2nd, in fcat like a lot FMs who like James, I think coming 2nd would be better for him.

Ella has not been so good past few weeks until last night, when I think she stole the show, and my usual No1, James, was not so great (bad song choice).

Different strokes for different folks.

Surely more like William Shatner making a song his own?

And have spent years learning my crafty at stage school.

It may be to forgive a complete lack of technique from a karaoke signer who only sings in the pub after a gut full of alcohol but possibly not from someone who has taken lessons.
