To me a Guilty Pleasure is something that is really naff and cheesy by someone like Steps, The Spice Girls, Britney Spears etc. Whoever decided that "Don't Leave Me This Way" fits into this category knows sod all about music quite frankly.

Terrible theme this week,

I think they think that anything 80's is automatically a guilty pleasure

Maybe, but I wouldn't feel guilty about liking any of these songs.

Completely agree with you. I was expecting songs like saturday night, macarena etc ella's song has been the only guilty pleasure but she made the song completely unrecognisable!

Then they should ditch the themes.

Who made you the decider of what songs are guilty pleasures? As I've said in another thread guilty pleasures are subjective and therefore I don't think anyone can really comment on songs not being guilty pleasures.

I doubt anyone would publicly admit to liking agadoo

Ag-a-doo-doo-doo, push pineapple, shake the tree
Aga-doo-doo-doo, push pineapple, grind coffee
To the left, to the right, jump up and down and to the knees
Come and dance every night, sing with a hula melody

I love it LOL!

Don't Leave Me This Way is one of the best songs ever written and if anyone thinks a song that is sung with the vocal quality that Teddy put into that is something to feel guilty about liking, then I despair of their taste

The lovely beach and the sky
The moon of Hawaii
The rum calypso sarong
We'll all be singing this song....

Christopher would have done a mean cover of Russ Abbott's 80's classic "Atmosphere"

If that really was Jahmene's choice for guilty pleasure then he's basically just walked out the closet. Good on you Jahmene.

I don't think you would expect to find Andy Williams on James's ipod so it would be classed as a guilty pleasure.

But I would imagine that Jahmene is quite a fan of Teddy Pendergrass so I can't see how his song would qualify in any way

What about Frankie Valli? His was before Andy's.
