out of tune almost all the way through that song? I wouldn't expect Louis to know but the rest of them should at least comment on it if only to help him improve.

He's now Plan A for the producers as they know Ella has no chance of winning, that explains it (and they're trying everything to stop Chris winning).

So do I!

Then I remember the only vocally impressive member on the panel is his mentor...

Eh?

I think there is something wrong with your hearing if you think Jahmene sings out of tune.

Singing in a different key to what you might be used to hearing is not the same thing as "out of tune".

Some people really do start threads of utter nonsense.

He was flat almost all the way through. Do you know what 'flat' is in musical terms? Would you like me to explain it or do you consider technically impressive vocals to be 'utter nonsense'?

He only misses the odd note, it's his tone and vocal gymnastics which I can't stand.

He was flat at the end of most lines. When he shifted his vocal range up he was flat on the first note each time then rescued it. He knows it too, the judges ignored it.

Agree with OP, he was definitely flat, too many ad libs which usually lead to a long out of tune note.

Don't think so, by trade I'm a music producer. With qualifications and grades in music theory.

His notes are genuinely off.

If that's not enough for you there's this article http://www.entertainmentwise.com/new...es-Say-Experts

AND IF THAT'S STILL NOT ENOUGH FOR YOU, I have a copy of Celemony Melodyne which I can use to visually depict the bum notes in Jahmene's performance if need be.

Yes he was.

It's not even a matter of opinion. It is an actual fact that on quite a few notes tonight Jahmene was extremely flat.

If you think he was 100% in tune then you do not have a good musical ear at all.

I don't really notice bum notes unless they are REALLY noticeable - I just hate the way he trills along and ruins every song by over singing it. Louis seems to think that's great singing but I find it intensely annoying. He's my least favourite contestant after James Arthur who just annoys me every week.

This year is a bit of a bum year all round. I hope Ella wins because she's the only one I really remotely like.

Most of the time I can hardly concentrate on it - it used to be such avid viewing but something's off on it and it's not just Jahmene's elastic vocals.

did i say he was 100% in tune?
i was saying that he wasn't flat 100% of the time. that's simpy nonsense.

actually because of my background and experience i have a very musical ear.
