I loved Louis' zombie tango but since then I've been disappointed with his dances. He doesn't seem to have improved much since and I thought his including that gymnastic pommel horse move in his AS tonight smacked of desperation.

He also didn't look happy tonight and seemed fed up/ underwhelmed with the Strictly experience. I know he's not an actor but neither are Michael and Victoria and at least they gave the appearance of enjoying themselves more than Louis did.

No, definitely not. He seemed a bit spooked tonight, but I think he will be back to normal next week.

Maybe all the stuff that's been written and said about him is starting to mess with his head.

Perhaps he is sick of getting slated every week and getting marked on different criteria to some of the others.

We thought he looked completely deflated after the judges comments and I can't say as I blame him... he didn't even get the 'you have worked hard and it showed' comment

Thought he was annoyed at himself for making a mistake, hence the sour face. It was a strange AS but I quite enjoyed it.

Too much expectation! He just doesn't look like he's enjoying it!

I hope not, I'm hoping it was a bad night at the office. He needs to start performing, even if it feels ridiculous to him.

Would you if you got slated and a professionals like Dani, Lisa, Denise and Kimberley who clearly have had dance training are praised to the hilt.

He always looks underwhelmed to me, but, more worrying is Flavia looking as if she has run out of inspiration !!!!

No he hasnt peaked, he is improving each week but the judges are not praising him for the vast improvement shown from week 1. IMO so have Michael, Richard (althought cant stand him), Victoria and Nicky. It is a shame that the ones who have had previous training whilst at stage school have not progressed but still get praised by the judges. Denise shouldnt even be on the show (yes and I am a fan, I think she is better than James)

Louis' AS was very weird. I've just watched it and I can feel NOTHING from him or Flavia. They've disappeared into the big space, almost sucked into a blackhole of nothingness...

Louis seemed relaxed during the The ITT interview with Flavia and Craig.

This was poor content and stiffly delivered.

Not much smooth dancing to it.

And he looked really miserable with a weak smile in the mezzanine when the scores of the others were coming in.

He really needs to spend half-days with an acting coach in addition to Flavia teaching him to dance.

Yes I agree, his facial expression tends to be the same, and I have tried to understand that he comes from a background where he was not supposed to show emotions or connect with an audience. He does have the same expression though.

I think he is great and the judges are too harsh, possibly to stop the viewers thinking he is a runnaway winner, or possibly to keep Denise and Kimberly "in the running".

I think Flavia has to take the gymnastics out of the dances and let him show his dance talent.

I find Louis somewhat underwhelming - his performances don't have any 'wow' factor. I really liked the Dirty Dancing routine (although it wasn't exactly a display of oringiality on choreography) but its all been a bit flat since then.

I see what you mean!

Hope he will go through and get back to his usual form (and wear nice skimpy tops)

I did not like most of the dances tonight, some lost in space, some just awful. Louis was somewhere in the middle.

Can you point out the gymnastics that she is putting in all the dances- or thats how you make it sound- once tonight and a hand stand/ hand spring-- thats less that one of Matt Bakers routines!

The judges are being truly harsh with him- his in hold work tonight was good- and he did more in hold than Michael. Flavia obviously thought they should try something different- I quite liked it- and who can blame her- she does traditional and its saccharine according to Criag- she can't win with him and nor can Louis.

I don't think we've seen the best of Louis yet... Whether we will ever get to see it, I'm not sure. He's got to get over his performance issues quickly.

I seriously believe that Craig has been spurned by Louis. I know Craig can be harsh, but he clearly does not look happy with Louis and Louis looks uncomfortable when its Craig's turn to give comments.

I don't know why Craig is so harsh on him - I mean generally - that he got two points lower score than Lisa (who was out of time for half her routinue and it didn't even get mentioned) was ridiculous!! I don't think he has peaked - he'll come back stronger next week.

I don't think Flavia should put gymnastic moves in his dances, is that OK, am i allowed an opinion? Jeez.,. I think at this stage Louis should be showing off the dance ability he has and building on that.

I do think that the judges are being harsh on him though, regardless of my taste.

EXACTLY! Before tonight they have had two gymnastic tricks in 6 routines.... That is hardly over doing it, lol

I don't think this was their best routine by a long way and like all the other pros, they have hits and they have misses. I didn't think it translated well over TV but the same could be said for most of the show tonight. Hopefully they'll be safe for another week.

I didn't like tonight's show. It wasn't the most inspired SCD. Wembley seems like an excuse for weird routines, weird costumes and weird props.

And I hope Louis hasn't peaked!

Actually I agree with you but it was the way it sounded I just think that Flavia thought it might work in Wembley and never in the studio.

I agree also about the dancing but he is being undermarked for the dancing by Craig in particular and all of the judges tonight- he was better than Lisa by miles tonight and has never deserved the same score as Nicky who is absolutely dire every week.

He just looked sad tonight and deflated and i wonder what Flavia can do to rebuild his confidence?

Did you conclude that Darcey had been 'spurned' too when she expressed disappointment in Louis? Just because Craig is a gay male does mean everything boils down to sexual attraction.

Craig is Mr Performance and he always seems to go for that first. Which is why he is so cock-a-hoop about Lisa and seems utterly oblivious to her numerous technical failings, whereas Louis has a straying thumb and he's instantly docking marks Louis needs another week like the Halloween Tango where he can get that vacant look off his face and connect with the dance - and then Craig will be as complimentary to him as he was that night.
