It was desperately unfunny. Glad Bruce managed to shut him up.

Maybe a bit harsh but to be fair there's not enough time in a live show for him to use the time for the judges' comments as a platform to attempt to gain more viewer votes.

There's been a lot of talk of Bruce retiring.
Maybe Richard has his eyes on the prize?! An informal job interview??? |

The worst thing was that, both with Bruce and in Tesspit, Richard did not actually finish his "jokes" - he just descended into self-propelled (fake?) laughter before he'd reached the supposed punchline, expecting everyone else to laugh along at nothing really.
Unsurprisingly, it backfired both times... |

Fair point.
Bruce even went to use a word beginning "fa..." before stopping himself. Could it have been "faggot"?? ![]() Bruce was funny back in the day when the above were considered tasty, but at least he had his day. Richard. . who? |

Lets' get a few thing straight here.
First of all, Darcey's comment was made in all innocence to Nicky about Karen getting him on the floor to stretch his (possibly) tight hamstrings. Karen caught onto the innuendo immediately and laughed embarrasingly and the crowd began hoo-haaing. Darcey, having re-thought what she said then played along saying "I bet you wouldn't mind doing that" to which Bruce grumpily replied "She's very busy!" He wasn't so grumpy when, before VPL-gate, he said there was a lady in the audience watching Richard & Erin's routine with a pair of binoculars and that she was not watching the dancing at all. Different strokes methinks. Secondly, on the subject of the panel being more open about Bruno & Craig, has it really increased this series? Craig has been referring to the male contestants, dancers and Bruce as "dahling" from when I can remember and Bruno cannot hide his salivation and goes into pouting overdrive when it comes to male contestants/dancers he fancies. "Scottttttttttttttttttt" springs immediately to mind. As for Richard, while he can be funny (loved his "We're gonna be on the internet forever!") he doesn't help himself because he doesn't know when to stop playing to the crowd. Though Bruce was a little brutal, Richard's attempts at humour were falling flat all over the place last night. It even happened in Tesspit and Aliona & Kristina just ended up looking at him as if to say: "Oh please, just shut the f--- up, you're embarassing yourself!" ![]() There has to be a line which should not be crossed. Is it okay for women to ogle men but not for men to ogle men? To be honest I think the sexual innuendos whether straight or gay are a little tiresome. Personally I don't want to see men flirting with other men on a family show, at the same time I don't want to see men and women flirting. Bruce was right to get it under control quickly, even if he came across as brash. |

I agree with this post.

I dont know how this Gay Judge thing got in, Bruno and Craig had nothing to do with the exchange, I personally dont like to see the contestants flaunting themselves at the judges, it demeans them, but the Gay stuff is a bit of banter. (Kids are a lot more savvy than we give them credit for). |

I'm far from a Brucie fan, but absolutely thanks to him it ended on a laugh. He regularly tells contestants to "get off", but I don't think any of it is personal, it's just part of the act.
