I think there is a vast difference between not giving it your all, and not being able to perform but *shrugs* we are all different I guess. I think he is putting the work in- but he's not worked on the performance side. Then again, the judges haven't really picked him up on that- most of their criticisms have been about the 'technical' parts of his dancing.

He's certainly not doing joined up dancing yet.

Doesn't alter the fact that on several occasions, the only apt reaction to elements of his dances has been:

"BLIMEY"

He could be so, so good. I shall feel deprived if he doesn't manage to join up all the dots, but I can't imagine ever viewing him with anything other than admiration.

I think a lower place on the leaderboard will actually help Louis and take a bit of pressure off his shoulders. He's been favourite since he started and there always seems to be some sort of drama or over criticism around his routines. Maybe he just needs a bit of breathing space. He didn't like it being mentioned on 8 out 10 cats that he was favourite.

I disagree that he is not enjoying the experience or uncomfortable though. I don't get that at all.

How do you know he's not giving his all? Just because he's not good at performing (like Victoria and even Michael can looked glazed) doesn't mean he's not giving his all. What evidence do you have for saying this?

Why is it obvious? It's the way his face falls. Victoria looks panicked for most of her dance too but I don't for one minute think she's not enjoying it. It's just that some of the celebs aren't performers - it's the piece of the jigsaw that'll be most difficult for them to achieve.

I get the feeling that Louis can't win. Either he'll just miss out (a la Chelsee), or he'll go out in the semis.

For me, him and Kimberley seem to be having a competition as to who is this year's Holly. Voting says Kimberley but they both need a breakthrough dance to stand any chance of making the final.

This is how I'm starting to think it might go:

Final 3:
Dani, Louis, Denise (in that order)

Semi-finalists:
Kimberley and Lisa (although could be Michael instead of Lisa)

The problem for me is that I'm not sure what could be a breakthrough dance for Louis or Kimberley. It tends to be the moodier dances that cause the improvement (Tango/AT/Paso - and I think they'll struggle with the ones that they haven't yet done), but if they can do a good Jive and actually enjoy it, then that might do it for them.

He does not have the look of a winner to me.

I think we have had this conversation before but the judges should be pointing that out to him and not the minor technical faults.
I personally don't take much notice of what the judges say anyway. It is all pretty much scripted for the desired affect or an excuse for Len to make one of his silly remarks.

Yep- feel like we've been here before! Don't get me wrong- Louis needs a breakthrough performance wise... I just wish the judges would say so- he says that he tries to work on what they say- one of them needs to tell him to get to an acting coach.
