She can barely pick her feet off the floor and we get the same routine regurgitated week after week.

I am sure it came across well from a distance in the arena but close up on the TV it was really really awful, I liked her a lot the first couple of weeks but that Samba was worth 7s at a push.

Robin needs to tell her to close her mouth when dancing.

If the judges do get her to the final, they will then have to give honest and accurate critique, or she may win and the whole show will descend into a farce after 10 years of mild credibility!!

I saw quite a few errors last night, but the hand movements direct viewers eyes away from the faltering feet. She messed up and stood on Robin's feet near the end of the dance but that was overlooked by the judges, of course.

You illustrate my point perfectly. Her Viennese Waltz was almost identical to her Jive!

Oh wait...

Yes, I think she could well win, darlings.
Indeed, she has been doing it from week 1 and has been ramping it up weekly since, The doe-eyed, head on Robins shoulders whilst at the judges table is sickly, but clearly pays off and that's the worst of it.....the pair of them are resting on their laurels and banking on the gurning,"it's little me from Manchester" routine without bothering to improve.
What they danced on Saturday was very poor andvery lazy.

I thought Lisa and Robin done well last night,I think she went wrong in one bit just before the splits finish as I think she was thinking about doing that too much and put her off a wee bit apart from that it was a good dance and routine.
I don't think she's a one trick pony either as she is doing some good ballrooom dances now too

I couldn't believe the unwarranted praise for her last night..... To me it looked as though she went totally wrong at one point - and not one of the judges remarked on it..

She is turning into a one trick pony..... That Samba looked like the Charleston and the Jive, and the CHA Zcha she has done.....
It seems like the four of them have been brainwashed or lent on to give the big girl lots of praise and overlooking.

In ballroom she just reminds me of Joyce Grenfell's: 'Stately as a galleon we glide across the floor....' (sung, incidentally, in a northern accent).

All of her latins have been much the same. Her Ballroom dances have been too forced and not elegant enough. She's just not very good.

And what's this 'little girl from Manchester' rubbish? Garnering the northern vote? I suppose there's a lorra lorra people up there.

This is one Northerner who certainly will not be voting for Lisa, I spent the entire routine fixated on her gaping mouth . Incidentally, whilst it is highly likely that some people from the North say lorra I have never ever heard it!

I can't agree more with the posts on this thread. Maybe this is not PC, but I believe she is getting inflated marks so that the judges cannot be regarded as "fattist" (is that a word?)

Her footwork is poor, and to be non-PC again, when she is in hold, her literal size means that she (and poor Robin) cannot get anywhere near a correct frame.

I am also fed up with the gurning. Let's all be happy clappy! But when, a few weeks ago, she was left until the last moment to be saved by the vote, she looked like a miserable sourpuss (which I have heard is her usual face when the cameras are not on her), as opposed to every other contestant who puts on a brave face in the same situation.

The sooner she goes the better.
All of the above, with bells on. Talk about the elephant in the room. Do the judges really think that the GBP are that stupid?

Mind you, someone is voting for her and it can't be because of her dancing. I think it must be her acting ability -

'me, what the ordinary ickle girly girl from oop North. Eee by gum, it's like Disney wiv big bad muscelly man to lean on so I can do peeking through lashes Gurn Gurn Gurn wiv Robin *smirk* and convince people I am adorable..'

Enough already.

I applaud your first post and agree 100%

As soon as the 8 paddles came out I knew Denise would get 10s no matter what she did. Judges either didn't notice or didn't care that she went wrong at least twice and Robin stood on her foot. The favouritism shown to Lisa just smacks of nervousness about being fattist.

Northern fat lass doing well down in the big smoke is her strictly persona, and the public are unfortunately lapping it up.

Of the five female celebrities performing at Wembley three are now accomplished in three categories (technical accuracy of actual dance intended, quality of performance and look the part), one looks the part but is still technically limited and seems to almost give up on her performance and the other just dances in a sort of jolly, rabble rousing fashion in a generalised way with only a rough aproximation to the dance intended.

Goodness knows how the judges determine their marks.

Lisa - excellent last night with an odd choice of music.
Kimberley - a very good attempt at a dificult dance probably not her forte.
Dani - very good last night and is growing on me (I thought she was a sulky Sue at first). A real partnership with Vincent.
Victoria - still looks very uncertain.
Lisa - One for Les Dawson's Roly Polys.

I thought Lisa was funny and a good enough dancer for the first two weeks.
Now, she just bores me. Every dance feels the same.
To be honest, I didn't like the way she was dressed last night. It was really unflattering and I wonder why they are giving her outfits like this. I really hope that it is not to make fun of her because I don't find that entertaining.

I'm another Northerner who wont't be voting for her either and neither will my Mum! I'm fed up of the same old Latin routines now. She went wrong in that routine a few times and had no bounce in her legs. The samba rolls were terrible. She did the splits at the end to draw attention away from the main routine and it worked. I'm fed up of the judges ignoring her footwork.

Let's face it; they'll only do dances for laughs. She's a loud northern fat lass and he's a short gay lad so obviously there's going to be no romantic routines so there's only comedy they can do.

I'm getting a bit fed up now with the same routines and with the judges over-praising her and not pointing out her mistakes, as well as the over-marking. I'm no expert but even I saw mistakes last night. Are they giving marks for the biggest smile now ?

I suspect that there is a sizeable percentage of the public that will fall for the judges over-hyping of Lisa's ability and will vote for her on that basis.
The Strictly judges seem to be using the same tactics as that other Saturday night talent competition this series and in doing so are losing credibility.

Or just because they find her routines entertaining. Oh wait, of course that can't be right, because everything's fixed in some way or another. Apparently.

Lisa may be a big lass but not even she can be two contestants at once!

Surely you mean Denise...

Robin "short"?? I thought he was on the average to tall side...
