I applaud her for her attitude

I think she has great musicality, is really light on her feet, and performs the dances better than some others on the programme.

I don't dislike her, BUT why are we not seeing a level of indignation on the boards about her overmarking.

That samba last night was really quite poor , the samba rolls were dreadful, her timing was so off Robin stood on her foot and as for landing that eye watering split so inelegantly

It was really not worth 8 at all, and yet last night and this morning, where is the outrage at her overmarking???

Is it just accepted that she is just judged to a different standard because she is a fat girl dancing reasonably well,if so it is positive discrimination gone mad.

Totally agree. I think she is a one trick dance pony - lots of energy and a fixed rictus grin. Same moves every week.
I find the judges attitude to be patronising in the extreme - praise the fat girl regardless of the quality of what she produces.
This "Little Lisa from Manchester , come so far" ploy, from a longtime professional actress is very wearing

I don't think she's light on her feet at all. If grinning and gurning like a fool constitutes performing, then she performs very well. She does have a lot of energy, I'll give her that.

I'm outraged and I think you have it absolutely right.
She's fat and nobody wants to be the first to be seen to be disrespectful in case they're labelled as prejudiced.
Week 1? Great. Thereafter? Rubbish.

Err, all over the forum.

If Michael, Nicky or any of the others had pulled out that dance they would have been, quite rightly, slated for it by the judges. Timing was off, she went wrong and it was pretty much the same thing they do for every fast latin.

She sells a dance very, but there's very little difference in terms of her technique and progression from week one.

IMO she would get far less marks if she was a size 10 and Danced the way she does. I am overweight but I would not wished to get treated like a special case as imo she does.

I know what you are saying, she was definitely over marked, but I think props should be given for how much she loves the process. I prefer seeing someone like her giving it her all and loving the process, then someone who is dull and going through the motions.

I agree 1oo% imo her marks last night was just silly... higher than Louis, yes he had an off night but never should have been below Lisa..

I think the marks are about right - she certainly isn't any more overmarked than most of the others (Michael, Nicky and Victoria spring to mind).

Especially when she is constantly given such hideous, insulting dresses to wear, which don't even give her any support. I would have cried over last night's dress, yet she just went out there and gave her all. Well done Lisa.

She is, she so is. That samba had so little content in it compared to Louis' samba from a couple of weeks ago and it was littered with errors.

Week in week out she is overmarked.

She has a big personality and can sell a latin dance but her technique has improved very little since the beginning of this SCD series.

Give the girl credit though, she probably has more energy than anyone else and keeps going right to the end. I do think, however, she has now reached the limit of her capabilities

But there was little to no samba content, what there was was badly executed (the samba rolls were awful), she clearly went wrong in at least one place, and her timing was off, Robin stamped on her foot in once place because her timing was wrong.

Nicky's jive was flat footed, but at least is was a recogniseable jive Michael was bang on with his AS, timing spot on, good footwork etc. Victoria's was not good, but it at least had paso content and her score was about right.

Lisa is being over marked, and is showing no improvement, what was brilliant and refreshing in week one, is now boring and repeative

No I don't think there is,

there is a general felling that she is overmarked and then a level of acceptance that she has been overmarked.

just imagine the outrage if Denise or Victoria had danced that badly and been give 8's . The boards would explode and yet with Lisa it just seems to be accepted that she is overmarked.

It is difficult to comment on her weight without someone coming along and saying you are fattist and I think that is the problem for the judges , they don't want to be seen judging her dance with regard to her weight.

I am coming out now and saying her weight DID mean she was physically unable to do those samba rolls properly and certainly it contributed a lot to that awful splits.

It is not her only problem but the judges and we should be able to judge her equitably with her peers.

Her other problems include that she is not being challenged and is repeating moves indeed whole dances.

I do give her props that she is so into SCD and some of the others would be wise to show her level of enthusiasm.

I think this year people are majorly fed up with the judges. It's the cumulative effect of so many years of dodgy marking. Why should we blame Lisa for that? She's just doing her best. I don't even like the woman, but if anything is gonna stop me from watching, it's the ridiculous inconsistency in the scores. Not any individual celebrity.

The show is more popular than ever, the studio / Wembley audience loves Lisa and Robin's routines. Surely that speaks for itself?

Craig is besotted with her. One week he says he could not give more points for Louis' samba because of the missing double bounce action, which is fair enough, but the next he gives 8 points to this awfulness.

Last night she was definitely worse than others who were marked lower.

I agree, she is ok and certainly not the joke contestant I think she was brought in to be but she is getting over marked and it is all a bit sameish now. I know earlier on in the competition they mark the fun entertainment element of the performamces but at this point being entertaining and full of energy shouldn't be taking precedence over technical skill? I'm tiring too of her wide mouth 'face of shock and gratitude' each week and she is possibly outcrying Victoria now.

Not really. it was upbeat, she was first and she danced with fabulous enthusiasm but it wasn't really a SAMBA and the samba there was had poor technique.

The crowd can't see the execution, they're just going by feel, that's why we have judges To point out where the technique was good or bad or they might as well all do freestyle.

It was one of the dances that looked like a complete dance performance. It may not have been a Samba and it may not have been good, but it was a performance.

I do think as such, the judges should be marking her down because of the content and technique and let the public vote on the performance.
But it isn't a pure dance competition and if the judges want to give her big marks for enthusiasm, they are allowed to do that.

I agree that she has been overmarked. She has enthusiasm and clearly enjoys what she is doing but I don't think her technique is that great and I haven't really noticed much improvement.
