Which one of Team Vanjam's dances REALLY deserved the first 10?
Though the first "10" was awarded to whom I consider to be the most deserving couple, I strongly feel that they received it for the wrong dance. From where I was sitting, last night's weird Charleston was an 8 at best. I'm sure if it had been Louis or Nicky that had performed it, the judges would have slated it saying it was little more than a series of set-pieces with very little real dance content.
I have nothing at all against Denise (have loved her since BB), but I do think those 10s were really undeserved last night. With this in mind, which of Team Vanjam's dances would you have given the first "10" to? (PS: Please look at this with the benefit of hindsight and not in what order the dances took place. More or less, I am asking you to compare their other dances with the supposed best so far. Thanks!) |

Jive definitely - that was fantastic, would definitely have been a 10 if it had been a few weeks later

I would have chosen the jive and charleston, but picked the charleston. Had the jive been later in the series, she would have got four 10s for it.
She is a good dancer, and she does deserve the praise she gets. |

Jive, VW and Charleston. But I picked the jive, since that was first.

I absolutely LOVED their Viennese Waltz and Paso and, since we are resticted to only one choice, would have marked both of these 9.5 if possible.
Therefore, I would have given the first ten for THE best jive I've ever seen on Strictly.

Would personally say no one has really deserved a 10 yet.

Wasn't sure if jive or paso, settled for jive. But i thought her charleston also deserved 10s.

The jive as it was the first but the charleston also. They were both perfectly danced which is what the ten is supposed to be for.
She is the best dancer by far. |

I would have to say none, I don't think anyone has been deserving of a 10 as yet. Denise came closest with her jive, but her charleston left me a bit cold.

Their dances all leave me cold as I can't engage with either of their personalities. I would be much happier watching Dani, Michael or Lisa.

I think the jive & I think had it been a bit later in he series it would have got 10s. If she does it in the final I think for sure she will get 10s.

I've yet to see a real "wow" dance from any contestant. The nearest to a 10 imo was Louis's Tango, followed by Denise's Charleston and possibly Dani's Tango.

Charleston for me. The technique - foot swivelling etc - was all there.
Loved her paso as well, and liked her jive, though to be fair it was more rock 'n roll; there were very few jive steps in it. |

Mind you, I loathe the charleston, especially when it's got more Lindy than charleston in it. I know one came from the other but a Lindy has a heck of a lot more knees and a charleston should not always be danced as a joke. It can be jazzy and cool, like Kara and Artem's was. |

I voted none.
So far I have not seen a dance that I would deem perfection for any couple. |

If she doesn't get the chance to perform that jive again in the final and score a perfect 40 then it will be CRIMINAL.

Her jive was great and I liked the choreography, but I thought the charleston was hideous and I hated the choreography. It also made her look ungainly, angular and a bit butch.

If the Jive had been later in the competition, then I would have said that.
But otherwise none of their dances have been a 10 - I thought their Charleston had some very awkward and messy bits in it which took away from other very polished bits - an 8 or 9, yes, but certainly not a 10. |
