I think Nicky has been treated harshly by the judges. Yes he has faults but so have many others and their faults are often glossed over or not mentioned at all. You only have to listen to Karen Hardy and she spots faults that the other judges don't seem to see. Even Craig this year seems to have selective blindness. As for the jive he would have done a lot better if the music hadn't been speeded up. He was looking good in training at the original speed. He would also would have done a
A better job if he had worn proper dance shoes. I would challenge anyone not to look flatfooted in those things. Having said that he does not seem to have the fanbase everyone expected him to have and he certainly has few friends on this forum. I love his dancing in spite of the faults. I find him more exciting to watch than the like of Louis or Denise. However he really has to impress the judges this week or he will be out for sure.

IIRC Karen speeded up the music by 10% for training to get the kicks & flicks sharp. Which looking at the training actually worked. The music for the show was at normal speed.

What let him down was his footwear, totally wrong for a jive. In addition the flat footed dancing made it too Rock & Roll when he was meant to be doing a jive.
