Yes, he'd be so great working for Imaan, and he can totally do that as a volunteer and Christian will be so proud of him and Syed will feel so good about himself and his faith through helping others and being a shining of example of the happiness you can obtain.Totally loving this idea. Loving the descriptions of the gourgeousness of stuff in AB-floorscene. And, generally, have to say (again) that I just love, love, love all those little things; touches, little looks, little "contented sounds and sighs" that Ellitridge put in there, just makes it all the more believable and lovely and heartwarming. One of my faves when it comes to these things is the way Christian/Johnny rests his hands at the back of Syeds/Marcs waist after the big greeting-hug in coming home from GC-scene. LOVE that. It just feels so natural to me and it really warms my heart for some reason.


BiB: I've actually had some fleeting thoughts in this direction myself. Maybe? Then again, he might like to do something more intellectual, perhaps, really put his mind to something? Hmmm. Wonder if we'll ever hear anything about what it turns out to be (except in fic, that is?)

And on the subject of fic, I'm now going to reread Florida (thanks for reposting it Lyra) and then be off to bed.

Yeah, that's why I thought adlib, because it looked pretty spontaneous and he lifts his head again just as Christian's head comes down to meet him - it looks a bit..unco-ordinated, if that's the right word? But it totally works.

Immigration officials in Miami airport are quite xenophobic/racist from my personal (and friend's) experiences. I can picture then getting shifty with Syed because he has an Arab name/features and C just not standing for it and getting all defensive.

That's a part of their relationship I'd have to have seen explored - Syed being subject to some racism and C's reaction to it. Not an arc or anything, just a mini episode s/l.

I think most of the physical affection stuff that wasn't kissing was totally natural and spontaneous but you could see them holding back sometimes when their characters would naturally kiss? So I think kiss-wise, it was mostly scripted.

Not just Miami unfortunately, I've seen it at NYC and heard if it a few other places. But you absolutely can't let it get to you coz that makes it way worse. You have to be polite and agreeable to the border control people and just expect an extra hour to get through.

It's not fun when your mate is hauled away and you're just let through coz your skin is a different colour, but this is the world we live in.

Would've been another arc they could take but I guess they didn't need more controversy. Generally I expect it bothers Christian a lot and he gets very worked up on Syed's behalf.

I hope they would've done it better, though. The stuff with Ray was terrible.

Been attempting to sort out my Chryed folders all day....I'm not even a quarter of the way through....3 years worth of naming things 'guhhhh' and 'squeegbrujgt' are coming back to haunt me :sleep:

Loving the future talk I think they should open a gym together, Christian as the manager/head PT and Syed as a sports massage therapist/physiotherapist And Syed helps do the books but isn't actually allowed to handle actual money :sleep:

He got stopped by the police in one episode and said it was because he was black, but it was just... awful and preachy. It was just so... PC. And I hate people who use that phrase, but it was so forced and unnatural, like A Very Special Episode.

But, yeah, re: non-Chryed EE. I keep skipping through other characters' scenes from Thursday and realising I have no idea what's going on in any of them.

I've literally no recollection of anything happening with Ray! But then I have skipped almost all non-Masood/Chryed scenes for months now!
