I so haven't got time, I pissed about so much last week for some reason and never did any work... but I'm handing in an essay tomorrow, I might reward myself with a couple of days break and rewatch some of the real classic stuff before I start the next one.

I'll never not be angry/sad about the missed opportunities . It's why, despite having watched since I was 7, I won't watch EE any more because I have no respect for a show that could treat such great actors and characters so appallingly.

I'm sure they're gutted about losing me as a viewer........... :sleep:

Also I don't care about any of the plots and other than the Masood's there are only a tiny handful of characters I even care about any more!

I've just finished, but what the hey! I'll do it in December too! I turn 30 then (but I don't really: I'm just 'leveling up') so it'll cheer me the hell up anyway.

If Christian and Syed had still been treated badly, but EE was otherwise decent, I'd still watch it, because it's a good way to fill in half an hour when there's nothing on. The only reason I'm not choosing to watch it is because it's genuinely so dire, even without my Chryed bitterness blinding me.

Aww, hope you can still enjoy the good times when you do feel able to watch it I'm still just so happy that they got a happy ending, nothing else really matters to me right now


I'll probably tune in for Masood-centric and/or Pete Lawson episodes but apart from that I won't be making a point of watching it anymore. I'll watch it if my daughter's watching, cos we just laugh at it all but she was in a strop tonight so went to her room and I decided doing the ironing would probably be more interesting than Joey and Lauren's epic forbidden love story :yawn:

Loved all the humour that used to be part of Chryed and the Masoods. Even in sad ep's humour was used to lighten the darkest.

It reminds me of when Chryed kissed for the first time and there was a lot of confussion on the MF about whether they'd gone any further, with the majority believing they hadn't and that Christian was going "overboard" in his persuit of Syed over a kiss. As if the words "it was good" and "I've been with straight blokes before" weren't giving it away.

I can say, as someone who, due to crap searching skills when I first found the story on youtube, happened to see the "Proper normal"-talk in the MQ office before I even saw First Kiss... there was NEVER for one second any doubt in my mind that it went further. From what I saw on the first and last page, there's about five posts that is actually about that, the rest is totally OffT. Even the MF knows that it's not really a question but simply a statement.

Watched a bit of Classic Chryed last night instead of EE, but my searching skills are rubbish, so not in quite the right order. Love the chat in the MQ kitchen - so insightful. It's not like Chryed had LOADS of screen time, then, but it was used so much better!! I still had to laugh at the fight - Christian is trying to stop himself from being hit by Syed and can't quite believe it, and Syed is just a mix of emotions!! Also love the whole Christian being beaten up s/l (well, I didn't like Christian being beaten up, but...). I love that Zainab sometimes makes Christian sick!! I wish tptb could have kept some of that love/hate between Christian and Zainab. Bizarrely, the line I loved the most from what I rewatched was Janine's when she's trying to get info from Christian about Ronnie - I'm gay on the inside!! Fantastic! Ohh, good times!! Will watch more tonight

I love how Christian shows more tact than Syed. Not much, but at least some.

I know, Christian at least tries, a little bit. Syed is wonderfully tactless and blatantly obvious. It's not QUITE DC-weeks "I thought we could go to bed when we get home" (Sorry, don't actually remember the exact wording right now... what, I'm working now... really, I am :sleep:, but I'm sure someone does), but not far from it as far as intention goes. Love that. Tiger!Syed.
