Regarding the spoiler pic of Christian, Ian and Yasmin. Is it just me, or does John look like he's lost weight. His face and neck look thinner... :/

xxxxx
I thought he looked really thin in the pic too! As far as I remember his weight tended to fluctuate quite a bit in general though, he's probably just the type.

And hi! Yeah it's a pity about the vids. Was watching some old ones for the nostalgia. YouTube must've removed a lot of them. I must save my own ones just in case they ever get deleted, they're fun to look back on.

Oh My God. The thread got TOTP on the Appreciation page! Ahh! XD *happy dance*

*waves* I hate to say it, but he looks ill. I hope he's alright. He's not John if he's not bubbly and bouncy.

YouTube, I believe, have removed them before the sties crashed. Because all good Chryedians will be watching the vids en masse before Christian returns. XD *still living in delusion world*

Btw, have we seen this yet?

I don't think he has been. He just looks like it. He may have just been neglecting the gym a bit.

I showed my two friends the pic of Christian with Yasmin and Ian, and they too both said his neck looks thinner. Looking at his picture on the EE character profile, it is thinner. By the way, the profile says that Christian's usual drink is: "Vodka and tonic" So Christian. XD

Hi everyone, and greetings from Australia. x
Hope you don't mind if I add my 2 cents.
This is my take on it. *Old Ex Nurse Alert* lol
When he started EE back in 2008, (all skinny) he had come from a very active, physically demanding, lengthy stint ( years ) of dancing in the West End, and touring. Once he stopped all that activity, and during his long run in EE, the weight very slowly crept up. As a professional dancer, he was used to a much more rigorous, physically demanding, sustained regime of activity, and that was all gone. It's the same with professional athletes. ( I really felt for him, the heavier he became.) When he finally left EE, and began ACL, his activity level increased, he was back doing what his body was trained for, and the weight started to come off. He went on to do The Birmingham Panto season, and he also did his Dames n' Dudes, - still moving & shaking & singing lol ( old brain...can't remember when he did what. ) He is now back to his former ( pre EE ) 'dancer' weight, and I personally think he looks FIT and healthy, and happier for it. I'm happy for him. He looks like the Rum Tum Tugger of 1997. (First time I ever saw him, CATS, The Movie, on TV.)
Really looking forward to his two episodes. "Clarkey" We get them about a week after UK.
Best wishes to you all. xx

Yeah but the weight he had before was pure muscle and suited him perfectly fine. And i know he was thinner back then too. It might just be because I'm not used to seeing him like this. He just looks think to me. But still fit.

Tracy! Or Marie! EE are saying that even the killer doesn't know they've done it. It's clear that none of the people in the "There's a killer among them" trailer are it. And with things like this, it's always the one you least expect. Such as Stacey killing Archie, or Ben killing Heather. Always one you think least likely. Tracy and Marie are both quiet characters that everyone seems to trust, and I mean come on. Marie for example. How long has she worked in the café now? You'd think she'd have some sort of promotion, yet she hasn't, so her motive would be jealousy. Same with Tracy. Jealous that somebody half her age is doing better than her and she's just snapped. Plausible.

That's my two cents worth, anyway, and I'm not even watching it.

Really looking forward to it, although it won't be on telly here until next week. I'll be checking YT at breakfast tomorrow. Feeling a bit down........I TOTALLY forgot about Johnny's radio interview yesterday on LBC, and missed it. Feeling like a Mad, Sad Old Twit.

Well, just watched yesterday's ep. Yasmin looks beautiful. Not only is she walking, she's running! I still stand by what I said though. John has lost some serious weight. His neck and face are thinner than before. Still all husky voice, smokey eyes though. And apparently, he was Lucy's "favourite gay uncle". Aaawww. Syed has been explained away as "at work" too. There's two pictures of the wedding to top it all off!

Right. Just seen the funeral ep. First of all, Adam Woodyat is a bloody good actor! He deserves every recognition award he gets. Second, good to see Christian, even if it was brief. Third, the episode made me cry. That's the third time the show has made me do that in 6/7 years of non-continuous watching. Fourth, it was nice to see every shop shut to pay respects to Lucy. Nice touch. Fifth, (I should really be listing these) the picture they used of Lucy for next to the coffin was beautiful. Sixth, I don't like Nancy, horrible cow. Seventh, I don't like Linda either. Eighth, Johnny seems alright. Ninth, Phil might be a bruiser, but you can always count on him to stick up for his friends in their time of need (OMG, Phil cried!). And finally, it's pee'd me off the fact that it's the Carters who get the duff-duff, and not the Beales when they clearly deserved it.

All in all though, nicely done TPTB at EE.

I think most Chryed fans have either dissapeared to other fandoms - I'm currently enjoying four handsome Musketeers and also looking forward to Doctor Who with the great Peter Capaldi - or stopped watching Eastenders altogether, so they didn't know Christian made a brief return. I don't watch EE anymore, though I've watched a few eps since Lucy's murder and if the Masoods suddenly get a major storyline again ( Shabnam's secret? ) I might watch more perminantly again. The chances of Zainab returning are 50/50, since Nina has expressed a desire to return.

If and when Christian / Syed / Chryed return for a long spell on the show, I think the fandom will pick up again.

Hi! I think most of us have just moved on from DS, really... I still 'meet' Chryedians on twitter, for instance. I will never not be a Chryedian...

Of course, we knew Christian was coming back for the funeral!! Lovely to see him back It was right that he came, because he & Lucy were quite close at some point. She did play quite a role in the Chryed story too... remember "bad boy"? And the grafitti on the bedroom wall of course
I was so pleased that we got to see Chryed's home in Birmingham, esp with the wedding photos on the wall - nice touch!!

I've gone back to watching EE full time - never really stopped, but since DTC's arrived it's improved so much, I've actually gone back to paying proper attention to it too I hardly read spoilers now, and hardly ever come on DS, but just enjoying the show as it comes. I was very sceptical about the hype that was created befrore the Carters arrived, but I think they are a brilliant addition. Intrigued by the Who Killed Lucy story too of course.
I love that the show manages to surprise me again.

Oh, and I hope from the bottom of my heart that neither of the boys EVER go back to EE for a long spell. The only thing that can happen if they return together is that they get ruined, if only one of them returns it means bad things for their relationship. So no, no, no... Please - their story has been told, and it was beautiful. Let's just leave them in Birmingham, living their happy normal life together.
