I have to say... There was one scene with both of them, I can't remember which one, and my brother was in the room. He looked up from his phone, gave me a Meaningful Look and said: "Syed catches. You know it, I know it, and he knows it. Good man, Christian." and then went back to what he was doing. I have to admit... I always assumed Syed is the, er, catcher in the situation....

This thread has made this brilliant love story even more enjoyable. I just want to thank everyone for the insightful, emotional and entertaining opinions that i have been able to read over the last few years

So i watched ee last night and i dont think it feels like they have gone. They havent been gone long enough yet plus they spent the majority of the last 18 or so in a black hole so it feels like they are off screen at the minute. I guess when the Masoods are back on screen and they mention Chryed and when the new cast member joins the fold it will sink in. Doesnt mean im enjoying it much at the minute. Too much Branning focus and i dont like the Lola story. She should have her baby. Dont even get me started on the focus soon again being on Kat's awful affair storyline. I mean, do ee want to win awards next year at the awards because with this crap then im afraid it wont. Im bored.

Im planning on sticking around so im glad the thread will continue for the foreseeable future. I love coming on here for a catch up. Thanks for all the pics Jenn by the way.

I'm not watching because a) I'm bitter about the 'twist' and b) it looks horrendously dull. I really don't think the Kalfie stuff is working (not for me), I don't mind the Brannings (apart from Lauren, Alice and Jokey) but I have no interest in their lives at the moment. There's nothing there to hook me It's sad considering how loyal a fan I was years ago.

Ive always watched ee. When i was growing up it was always on and even if it isnt good right now, i cant stop watching. I hope it improves and maybe if LN realises the faults with characters and stories then she will fix things. She has used the Branning less, not that you'd notice and she has changed Kats story. I think she was supposed to cheat until xmas and then get found out but due to the complaints about the story that was scrapped and then at xmas Alfie find sout the identity of her lover. There isbt much to hook me in either but i'll stay with it in the hope it improves. I do like the Masoods and Fatboy/Poppy/Jay/Abi/Lola are good and interesting characters but im not liking Joey/Alice/Derek/Phil dominating screentime at the mo. So for the sake of these of these characters i do like im staying with it, albeit im struggling.

This thread has been brilliant to be a part of and ive had my 2 kids in the time ive been on here so its hard to leave it. I know it will not be as busy and some people have already gone but i hope for the most part we continue to keep the Chryed name going and our support of Marc and Johnny countinues in this thread.

BIB: Yeah, me too, pretty much! I remember as a child watching the Wilmott-Brown/Kathy Beale stuff and wondering what was going on and that it was boring (what was my mum thinking).

When I watched some of the old Chryed stuff, I thought where has the quality gone? Every episode used to be of a high quality, leading the viewer through the story until it got to the finale. Also, the characterization of each character looked smooth and like it had been worked on. Now it feels like we get a lot of low quality characterization and episodes that are a bit meh - it feels like all that matters is the crescendo of the story, not actually telling it properly and coherently along the way, if you see what I mean. I hope it does improve.

I went onto the ep thread but it's no fun really. It's all cynical and I know we are about certain characters but we're nowhere near as bad :sleep: Plus I got a bunch of crap for saying Yasmin is Christian's daughter - they probably misunderstood what I meant but oh well :sleep:

Not as much fun, I grant you. And you have to be a bit thick skinned and flip.

I'm sort of gutted that Chyred have finished, for many reasons, but also because posting during the ep was such such fun. Even when there was just me and Disney there.
