It's been a whole year since Canterbury Crazy times! But that day was actually the best day ever, I'll never ever forget it.

Panto on Saturday was amaze - the screams from us lot were louder than the whole audience on a normal night - you literally couldn't miss us! I was in hysterics at Sheila (the Fairy Godmother) when she first came on; she mentioned she was off to find a handsome prince and we all screamed - she ended up taking several steps back with a look of shock on her face, ha! And Johnny giggled every time he came onstage and we cheered for ages.

He was so lovely afterwards (yes, I'm sure you're all shocked :sleep and spent so much time with us as he did last year. I love him! A few of us also got to catch him on Friday morning before that, and that time he gave me a hug and a big kiss on the cheek, and was like 'and how are you missus?' whilst stroking/tickling my hand with his finger...he shouldn't do stuff like that because my mind just went blank. I think I managed to tell him I was good :sleep:

Anyway, I had an amazing weekend! Nottingham is a really lovely city too - got a pic of the Robin Hood statue

On a break and I thought I'd be the first poster of the day

Thanks to jenn, Katrina and Sylae for the panto reports; glad everyone had a good time I hope we get some news of new stuff they are doing soon

As everyone has said, it is a bit hard to think of something to write now Chryed are gone from the screens. I can't believe that last year there was so much buzz about Canterbury and about Christian coming back and seeing what happened between Chryed and Amira. I never in my wildest dreams thought we would have a rushed end to the Masood-Chryed reconciliation, followed by a whole lot of nothingness, followed by an awful (just my opinion) exit. Wow, what a year 2012 was! I know a lot of fans managed to get past the exit s/l, but it almost finished me and I still don't quite know how to reconcile the exit with the Chryed love story as a whole - and I'm not sure I want to.

Anyway, just some mad ramblings - I'd still like to continue with the thread just that little bit longer

I think once Marc and Johnny are truely in the media again because of new projects - and once some time has past - people will be more optimistic about posting again.

I was re-watching reunion yesterday and the moment where Syed tells Christian about his family and Bushra talking about stringy meat "as if I don't count" and it made me think about how the writers treated Syed during their exit storyline, having him do everything wrong and not leaving him with any dignity - as if he didn't matter. I feel like I should be bitter but I'm not going to waste my energy now.

Having said that, watching Max and Tanya go round in circles and watching the feeling(less) relationships that are Ray & Kim and Jack & Sharon reminds me that the writing for Eastenders is quite poor at the moment. Even Alyesha's introduction has been very poor in terms of screentime when compared to Kirsty's - because one is a Branning and the other isn't. Kirsty is very 'Eastenders' when you think about it.

Still, loving Marc's new hair and fingers crossed that he gets a role soon, whether on stage or screen.

True, at least fibrous flesh named three or four times. I particularly noticed the way it looks at Christian when Syed tells Zainab
"A Bushra not like fibrous flesh."
In another vein, I've seen a picture of Marc with Nina and Meryl in ANT 2012. I think Marc is not aware of how attractive he becomes

The fact that he doesn't seem to be full of ego/arrogance makes him more attractive to me. It's one thing to be confidante but another to be full of arrogance and expect people to fall all over themselves for you.


I kind of hope it's on screen just so hopefully it could be online somewhere for me to see But I hope he has big things coming his way whatever they may be.

You're right it is like they were trying to leave Syed without any dignity left. I think if I watched the reunion again, I'd be even more irritated with their exit. I might do a re-watch someday, just not sure when.

Now that Brendan is leaving Hollyoaks it appears that all the main appreciation threads are dying. Aaron, Sian and Sophie, this one and the last one to die will be Brendan's. As a hollyoaks fan and Brendan fan im sad that he is leaving and Hollyoaks is losing their best actor and character. Its sad as my 2 faves have left both the soaps in such a short space of time. Im getting over Chryed and now Brendan.

My boss rang me this morning to tell me that she's pregnant and my colleague texted me and told me she was having a baby as well. ANOTHER 2 pregnancies!!!!! Everythings all babies, babies, babies right now. The 2 at work and my sister in law just having one and my sisters twins due in June.

Im still on maternity leave and im thinking about not going back. After Lily i was only working part time anyway-3 days a week. Now ive got 2 kids i dont know what to do. I was just back at work in February when i got pregnant again and with us planning another in the next few months for an xmas baby, i might not feel right with taking more maternity leave. Dan has a good job and makes enough for us to get by but my wage helps us be more than able to get by so im stuck with what to do. Im not due back until next month having taken from late sept off. I'll have had 5 months or so off by then. I guess i have a month to decide. Knowing my luck i'll get pregnant before im due back. I really hope i dont as we really want an xmas baby and 13 months between Jayden and that baby. Anyway my boss is due in Aug being 10 weeks now. She must have got pregnant just before i had Jayden as he's 9 weeks this Sat. My work mate is only 3 weeks gone and she's due late Sept. Its the second baby for my boss. She's got a 4 year old and my work mate's 1st.

The most hated SL has a new 'winner' but every little vote changes things. The blackhole people most wanted filled in is a bit of a shocker (to me) and the most popular kiss has thrown up a few surprises

Sorry been awol for a while....been up to Notts last weekend to see Johnny in Panto again, it was brilliant, he was brilliant, utterly lovely and spent ages with us all twice....thanks for the reports from Katrina, Jenn, and Sylae so far - really enjoyed reading them...and it was such a thrill to see Katrina meet Johnny, I was so pleased you got to speak to him and get your picture and a hug. xx Also the same for Carlaborrego, who doesn't post here much now.....a real thrill to see her finally get to meet Johnny after missing out before.

I intended to do a Nottingham report, but now as I'm out of time (because I'm going back for the final weekend tomorrow...) I will do a double one on my return.

Also, still want to post my answers to Dessie's poll, haven't forgotten, just time has been tight this week, it's on my Chryed to do list, which is getting a bit long...

Just rewatched the Red Button episode from Friday night. I hadn't realized how much I'd missed June Brown til Abi went to visit Dot. And can you believe Dot Cotton in trousers and with pierced ears? LOVED it!!

I wanted to wish all the best to those of you going to Notts for the last weekend of the panto. I'm amazed at the energy, time and bank accounts some of you have to keep going to see it again and again! Of course I know Johnny is totally worth it, but I don't think I'd have the energy now, lol. However, many many years ago I went to three Springsteen concerts, three nights in a row, and got to meet him after one of them, so I do understand, LOL. Tell Johnny he's got lots of fans here in Canada, besides his in-laws!

Lyra I keep forgetting to tell you how much I've been enjoying the post-Walford fan fics. Keep them coming!!!

It seems that Nina is in TM

Nina has confirmed that she and Marc are doing a comedy together - Marc is writing it - and that had Marc stayed in EE, she may have stayed longer.

She also lost some close friends last year, which led to her feeling that she wanted to move on with her career.

Hey Towers I just popped on to say that. I really felt for Nina when she explained how she'd lost some friends last year.

And also to say about the comedy. I need to watch again. Marc has written it but wasn't sure that he was in it? Either way it sounds brilliant!
