It's the only point at which I had to stop watching because I found it so bad. The exit storyline only really had my wrath from the twist onwards, and I enjoyed their last two episodes. From the moment Christian left until the moment he came back, I hated every moment Syed was onscreen during that period. Pretty sure all he got to say during that period was 'Mum...' 'Amira...' 'Coming!' And he never got to finish a sentence, I swear to God.
At least during the exit storyline, Marc knew he was free soon.

I must say I sort of agree with you, that was such a tough period to get through for me too - for the exact reason of Syed not being allowed to,as you say, finish one single sentence and say one line of actual substance at a point when there was SO much that actually needed to be adressed and talked about. And the creeping feeling that tptb were actually, deliberately taking the piss out of Marc and the whole story when they actually had the opportunity to do so much with his character and the threads that were there from the story of 2009/10.
The period after the twist wasn't much better, but it was at least shorter

Seriously, I've cried, I've cursed, I've thrown things at the tv, my heart ached, sometime it ached so much I thought it would never get better, but ... they got through it in the end. They survived, they had a good ending, they are now happy together. If they can forgive, shouldn't we?
Things were done that were near unforgivable, I've not forgotten that. Maybe I mellowed, my head canon puts them in a good place now. People in real relationships go through rubbish too, and let's not forget, it's a soap!
I would recommend anyone, seriously, to watch all of it, because it's their story, like it or not, it is.”

I agree with you too, my dear, you must be shocked about that  (the sleep-smiley, how I've missed thee!). There was a lot of pure and utter crap for them (and subsequently for WFCTGIO) in 2011 and 2012, but just as you say, it is their story and I can't regret watching it. And I can't forget that there were glimpses of brilliance there too that I would not have wanted to miss for anything.

I blame some bloke who used to be in EE making me spend all my money going to all his shows
I will make a donation to the charities when I get paid though
