http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B...&s=electronics

Wen I click on the 42 inch black on the drop down menu it takes me to one that has a different mode, number and is extra money. Why do Amazon do this? The reviews given are not clear which model they are talking about. I called Amazon who just suggested I called LG to see the difference which I thought was a bit much.

Anyway my question, is the black version worth the extra investment in please? What are the differences?

Many thanks for reading and in advance for your help.

On the LG website the only difference I can see is that it has 800hz motion clarity compared to 400hz. My current TV is 100 I think. If that is the only spec increase, is it worth it?

I ordered the 660T last week from Amazon and am very impressed with it. I would suggest you keep an eye on the price and wait for it to come down, I paid 690 for mine last week

Aye, got the Black 42 inch version. As to your OP, I may be wrong but I think LG have designated the 660T as the Black version and the 669T as White. According to LG, both the 660T and 669T have 400Hz MCI.

So why the price difference on Anazon? Sure I read somewhere on LG site it was 800 MCI for one.

Take a look at the specs from LG -

http://www.lg.com/uk/tvs/lg-42LM669T-3d-tv

http://www.lg.com/uk/tvs/lg-42LM660T-3d-tv

both listed as 400 MCI, it's also interested to note they both have the same MSRP, so can't really tell you why Amazon charges so much more for the Black than the White one.

How annoying. Glad I just didn't assume the black one was better! In the end I went to Currys and got the next model up 42lm760t which was 999 and came with a free LG 3D bluray player and surround system. It has the MCI of 800hz

Probably simple supply and demand. Maybe the white isn't that popular.

I similar with Merrel shoes. There's quite a variation in price amongst different colours of the same shoes.

Get the black one or you may have a hard time getting used to the idea that this is not a fridge in your room
