Would a 'respectable' final three save this series?

Common consensus on DS seems that this is the weakest series of X Factor in terms of acts and performances but if we have a Jahmene, Ella and James final three would people look back on the series differently? I suggest these three as they're the strongest singers. Rylan and Christopher are basically novelty acts and Union J are running on empty.

If a respectable final may save the show, then I insist on a Christopher, Rylan and Union J (due to their bottom two appearances only) final.

(Although James is horrendous, he's viewed as some sort of saint on the X Factor with his "originality".)

A Jahmene, Ella and James final three would be wretched. I wouldn't even bother to tune in.

Such angst, such pain, such self-worthiness. Awful.

That's two of us. Of the acts left, the only 2 who would bring a bit of variety are Union J and Rylan, but it's unlikely that either of them will make the final.

I think if the final 4 are James, Jahmene, Ella and Union J then it'll be the right top 4.

This series is way beyond saving. A Rylan/Chris final is no more than it deserves. It'll probably be James/Jahmene, though.

Actually I would probably watch a Rylan/Chris final just so I could imagine Scowell crying into his cornflakes in LA

No because it's not possible with this awful final 6

The only thing that will save this series (and X Factor as a whole) is scrapping the final three and having a Maloney showcase: An evening of Maloney culminating in his being crowned the winner of X Factor 2012.

I think it would be utterly hilarious if all 3 of Nicole's Boys made the Final.

Only if they fill the MEN arena with Nannas to make it more authentic

100% no - its going down as a miserable year no matter what.

Would be a better final 3 than last year if it was James Jahmene and Ella or maybe Union J. Possibly the best final 3 ever barring Matt Rebecca and One Directions final 3.

What are the odds? Is she the only judge to have three acts still in at this stage of the competition?

Depends on how you classify it - Kelly had three girls left for the final five last year. Admittedly one of them was a returning wildcard halfway through, but in terms of numbers she has one more week to go.

However, no other judge has got their three original acts to this stage so far.
