Tulisa is her mentor so it's not a surprise really. Awful song choices every week.

That song is legendary, i f you're going to tamper with it you need to make it better. She made it a dirge.

She's better than Rylan, James, Union J and Christopher, so no, she doesn't deserve to be in the bottom two.

I wish she'd just sing the songs without changing them so much . I only recoginised the song from the words !!

James is nearly as bad .

It's like playing guess the fecking song !

The voting leaks were right all along : she has struggled from week 1.

The voting leaks said she was doing well first 3 or so weeks.

Please.

I can't say that I enjoyed it - a ***** song is a ***** song, regardless of the arrangement. But she was the best act on the night.

They tried to be clever with last nights song. Tulisa is to blame. Don't try and out smart the UK public!

Yes indeed, and then apparently her votes started to sink in the last 2 or 3 weeks.

A catastrophe for the producers btw : Ella was 100% their Plan A at the start of the live shows...."the new Adele" etc.

I haven't been watching this year's lives but had friends over last night who wanted to watch it. Ella just seemed really boring. Turned a catchy, cheesy song into a boring, boring ballad. Glad I gave up on it. James is the only one who could sell records IMO. Maybes Union J but they're just 1D mark 2.

But they can't win - if they sang the song straight (like Christopher for instance) they would get taunted by the judges for being karioke or cruise-ship.

XF has done everything fir Ella that it needed to do.
She was able to showcase her voice every week and I doubt there is anyone that doesn't think she'll walk out if this without a record deal.
It is proven year after year that winning the show is not only not essential to guarantee future success, it actually appears to hinder some people.

She got worse each week. And the song choice this week was particularly bad. All those wretched ballads, week after week.

'Well, slap it up them!' as they say in my part of the world.

Nice girl and a decent enough singer but she was hopelessly overpraised by the judges : "the next Adele and you're only 16", "you'll be selling out arenas around the world in five years' time" etc.

Agreed. Look how well Olly Murs is doing, whereas I can't even remember who the winner was in his year!

I have to agree with this, except I do like James. Ella and James are the only two I actually like, so wasn't happy to see them in the bottom two, especially when I think most of the other acts are really poor. Even if her song choices were not brilliant, she has a brilliant voice. I guess seeing things beyond the box doesn't really work for this show.

It was all down to this terrible habit they have at the moment of refusing to just sing a bloody song. Nobody's happy til they've changed it, 'stripped it back' or 'made it their own' these days.

I think that's had a lot to do with it, people are bored of it. I'm not a fan of Christopher's but I do like the fact he just sings a song the way it's meant to be sung. He doesn't think he's too cool to be a bit cheesy and keeps it simple. If the voting leaks are anything to go by, it's working for him as well.

This is exactly it. The judges overhyping did her no favours.
