Christopher will win X Factor 2012
Simon wants this year's X Factor to be awful. He wants it to be ruined so when he brings out his new show next year (either a revamped X Factor, or a totally rebranded/new show) everyone will think it amazing in comparison.
The only way this can happen is if Christopher (or Rylan) wins. Union J won't win because Simon wants to use them as a cash cow, and they'll be tarnished if they win. |

It's a good theory, may well be true. Personally though I think it's unlikely that even Simon would want to destroy the credibility of a brand he's been building for nearly 10 years, simply to launch another format?
He has plenty of other ventures (such as BGT) which have done well without killing off a predecessor. |

True. But I think he might want to trial a new format in Britain first before taking it overseas, like he has done with X Factor. The only way that would work is if he kills off the British X Factor.

I disagree. Anyway, I don't think Chris can win because, if he is indeed in the final, he would most likely be up against Jahmene and in the final head to head there would be both a huge pro-Jahmene vore and a stop Chris one. The public like fooling around and wacky results but in the end we know it means everything to the contestants so we take it seriously in the finals and also if we vote in total turkeys these shows will be canned and we'll get TV where we get no say - just like politics!

Interesting thread. Many weeks ago I saw something minor, but unusual on the show that gave me an inkling that Chris might indeed be the chosen one. This was only week 2 and seemed insane at the time. After tonight, can't wait to see if I'm right.

This would just be awful and so unfair to the likes of Jahmene and James, who are GENUINE talented people.
If Christopher wins it will be a total joke. |

You're entitled to your opinion - but I totally disagree. I can't listen to James, and Jahmenes voice is almost as painful to listen to but not quite. Chris is talented and he's my winner. Hate to copy you but if those two win it'll be a joke.
I think Ella and Jade were far more talented than either of those three and if they had made it to the final, it would be a much better one than what we have got coming to us. |

If he wins, and it reflects on how underwhelming the series has been, I doubt people will tune in next year despite if any improvements are made.
Chris will just be another Jai McDowall (who won BGT last year) who just won't sell well or be successful at all. Would you really want him to win over James who geniuinely is marketable, and has a region of fans? |

he's not the chosen one and i think the media leeks support this (dont really buy the reverse psychology stuff). if he wins perhaps they will take next year's final 12 more seriously.

He is talented to a point, the point being he can hold a note, but I just can't watch him, he makes me cringe, he is a cruise ship/social club singer, someone you would think was brilliant when you've had a few. His personality, to me really makes my skin crawl, I find him totally insincere and needy. James sounds in pain when he sings, it was interesting to hear the first couple of times, but now it is just boring, and Jahmene, lovely lad, but he seems to murder some songs when he goes high with the notes.
I think Ella and Jade were far more talented than either of those three and if they had made it to the final, it would be a much better one than what we have got coming to us. |

Everyone will be a 15 minute winner!
As said at the outset, there was a lot of strong contenders this year..then out of the blue Ella was voted out,and it all went to pot, so don't be surprised if everyone gets a record deal, and it will be left to the buying public to decide if any of them will have a worthwhile singing career.
Except for Rylan that is,who will be at home nursing his baby, O yes he wants to be a mummy |

Oh I do hope he doesnt I really can't cope with the over reaction and leaping around the stage. And probably the faux shaky shakes.
On the other hand, if he gets the votes so be it. Thats the point after all. I really cannot, no matter how much I try, understand why anyone would want to spend even a small amount voting for him. But then I have been known to vote for Rylan so I guess I should just shut up

If Christopher wins it will be a total joke. Whether he wins or not, his singing career will hit the skids before it's even begun. I wouldn't bank on all those who are voting to keep him in parting with enough money to buy his material post X factor. |

Leon, Joe, Matt, Steve and Shayne all won and all bombed. What makes you think James or Jahmene would be any different?

If Christopher wins it will be a total joke. Edit: That doesn't actually mean I believe he's doing that with XF. He might be, I don't know, but he's definitely not above playing dirty. |

I'm bumping this thread because I originally posted this thread on the 18th and I'm convinced I'm correct. The only way the next series can be a success is if this series is a total failure.
