Serious dilemma here. I don't know if I can face watching X Factor next week.

The thought of some of these clowns destroying Abba classics just doesn't bear thinking about. I really hate when they do Beatles covers as well.

I'm guessing Jahmene will practice his vocal exercises with a motown track and James will grunt his fake plastic angst over motown too but all of the others will literally 'do' Abba.

I don't think I can do it?

It encompasses a lot of things, mainly soul but a lot of stuff. Motown = good mostly.

I stopped a couple of weeks ago and feel so much better for it

I think it is hilarious having read tonight that Ella went. Tulisa's only remaining act. Karma is a wonderful thing .

Did she not say it is not just a singing competition when she saved Rylan over Kye the other week. Hmmmmm different story now.

Still without having any acts to mentor she can spend more time in "Newcastle" now

Simply put - it is 'life'...few things connected to popular music remotely comes close...

...so nice to know that these untalented hacks will be destroying a thing of beauty next week, but c'est la vie...

I'm actually still watching it because Rylan's still in it. I lost all interest in the acts when Melanie and Jade got completely shafted by the judges' tactical voting. I want Rylan and Christopher as the final 2 it would be drop dead hilarious.

Actually Abba songs are notoriously hard to sing so I will watch just for the car crash moments

Rylan and Christopher in the final yeah I might just watch that.

The biggest nail in the coffin for X Factor

I think the boy band will fare best with an Abba track much as they bore me to tears because they can share the harmonies and Jaymi is a fantastic singer. Rylan does Abba should be a hoot and whatever Christopher does will be awful. I know I'll get angry I love Abba, much to the dismay of my friends

It would either be the end or a complete revamp of the judges panel. The tactical voting really has to stop. The current panel are not at all interested in bringing great acts to the world they are just competing with each other.

If Rylan went I wouldn't watch, there is nothing else worth watching, love Jahmene but Rylan is the one I wait to see.

I didn't. I didn't watch last week and this week I didn't either. When I logged on today and the first thing I saw was that Ella was gone, that was pretty much the final nail in the coffin.

They did an ABBA week on Pop Idol series 1 - even Will Young managed to stuff it up. It was the most embarrasing week of the series.

Yes, I gave up watching weeks ago. But tonight's news is so funny that I might be tempted back to watch X-Factor plunge to new depths.
