Anyone else really like these? I know they're probably full of absolute trash but I think they taste brilliant, though I have no idea what to put with one :\

I usually chop them up, fry them up, and then make a spinach/watercress salad and some garlic mayonnaise, but that's pretty much the only way I can think of preparing it.

Anyone else eat them? How do you serve it?

They look an awful lot like the Dutch smoked sausage, rookworst.
You can eat them hot or cold as a snack with mustard on a soft roll.
In the Netherlands they're usually eaten with hearty meals like sauerkraut and kale. Slice them after cooking.
Or in those very thick soups like brown bean soup and pea soup.
Here's a recipe for brown bean soup. Add sliced sausage .
And here's pea soup.

Chopped up on a jacket potato with cheese

Sliced and fried and make an omelette

Chopped up with tomatoes, peppers, cucumber, pasta and mayo

Sliced and put on crusty toasted rolls/bread, grated cheese over the top and grilled

Straight out of the fridge and just bite lumps off it

I've also used it with pasta. Am I right in thinking they don't need to be refrigerated ? Really handy for camping trips.

Microwave for a minute and eat with hot potato salad (with chopped onions & herbs) and mustard.

I always find them in the fridges at Tesco but have bought them off the shelf at Asda and Poundland.

Another vote for pasta with salsa and the sausage. I also like it served with crusty baguette Stuff it inside with mustard, ketchup and fried onion. Yum. Only downside I need a zantak after lol

They're already cooked, you can eat it cold.

I like it in scrambled egg/omelletes on pasta, in soup or on a sandwich but i haven't had one for ages.

you don't have to refrigerate them until you've opened them and they have a very long best before date. after opening, treat like ham or whatever. They have them in the fridge in supermarkets but they're just on the shelf in the pound shop

Thanks, I thought so. I remember taking some on holiday one year but thought it might have been a Lidl brand.

My daughter had a Duke Of Edinburgh camping expedition and she had to take meat of some sort. The cheeky mares in her group had her down to take fresh chicken fillets when some of them only took a packet of pasta or Angel Delight so I sent her with a few sausages instead
